Is it just me or does it say "No information" on the Freeview HD EPG on ITV HD in place of the ITV Evening News? My PVR won't let me record that slot either.

Apologies if I've missed this having already been posted in one of the previous forty pages, but here's the (very abrupt) way that Radio 2 delivered the news.

Bearing in mind that BBC News first announced the news of Prince Philip's passing at 12:04pm, I find it interesting that they continued with Jeremy Vine (presented by Vanessa Feltz due to Vine being on holiday this week) for a further six minutes thereafter, trailing a call-in segment about travelling in a post-COVID world which would never air.
I believe the start of the programme may have been pre-recorded so I'm not surprised that Vanessa didn't react to the news live herself, but I am surprised that someone behind the scenes didn't just play a couple of fairly calm, inoffensive tracks until they were ready to make the announcement formally rather than start the show as normal after the midday news only to build up to something which was never going to come to fruition and then yank her off mid-sentence.

Does anyone else think Gayanne Potter has today recorded a more sombre version of the V/O on the ITV Evening News? It definitely sounded quite downbeat.
Special titles as well - very similar to those used on ITV regional bulletins earlier.

The lobby area immediately behind BH reception looks down onto the newsroom and Studio E
They also do some isolating of the studio so the output, or it's talkback can't end up going to somewhere else in the BBC and cause confusion

There does appear to be a small curtain rail on the inside of the studio, but I've never seen any curtains attached at either end. However, I would assume that they are more for acting as a blackout curtain if they decided to go for a set without a newsroom view rather than for blocking the newsroom. If you didn't want a newsroom view, surely it would make more sense to go to Studio C.
