Guess Peaky Blinders might be Mondays now then as I think they've got a run now without possible FA Cup interuptions. Vigil was always promoted as a vehicle for Suranne Jones, he only featured once or twice in a trailer and given he was filming it and Line of Duty at the same time, his role was never going to be major.

Australia's Channel Seven did a similar streamlining of The Voice's format when they poached the show from Channel Nine last year going from 21 episodes to 13 (8 blind audition episodes, 1 episode which featured the last blind audition performances + a stage called 'The Cut', 2 knockout shows then a semifinal and the final).
Both the reduced season and the show airing after the Tokyo Olympics ended resulted in the show doing really well in the ratings.

I thought it was good but definately doesnt justify all the build up - endless trailers for about 2 months, countdowns during other shows etc. The problem is people watched this expecting it to be like Line of Duty when it wasn't even close to being as good as Line of Duty IMO. At least not based on the first episode anyway.

Think I might be coming round to Brekkie point of view in regards to Trigger Point. Nothing really happened tonight after last week big cliffhanger, yes a few tense moments but felt it was poor tonight. Will give it another go next week but if it doesn't pick up then probably won't give it another go afterwards

Had completely forgotten it was on tonight. After the heavy promo for the first episode I don't recall seeing any trailers at all last night or tonight. It's Starstruck they seem to be promoting every other ad break instead.

I noticed lots of trailers for Starstruck too so obviously that is the show they are promoting so much we will be fed up by the time it actually airs!
Trigger Point was okay but only really got interesting towards the end with a cliff-hanger to get viewers back next week.
