Not sure if this has been reported on here, but bt sport has expanded its cricket portfolio further. It appears they have the rights to international cricket in Ireland, as bts3 is showing highlights of the third odi, between Ireland and South Africa.

Meant to say this, South Africa v Ireland was live all week as well as highlights.
Ireland Cricket Rights has been all over the place the last few years, home test matches and selected other matches live on Sky Sports, home T20 & ODI matches live on BBC Red Button & iplayer and this year live on BT Sport. Also away series have been on Sky Sports in the past now on Freesports this year.

The away series depends on where they are though as it is the home team that sells the rights, usually as part of a multi-year deal. I supsect the Ireland Home Games are being sold on a more ad-hoc basis, so that is why they end up everywhere.

Irish broadcasters are simply not interested in cricket, the sport is a minority (if growing) one here so there’s not really any prospect of a bidding war over it. Hence why the broadcast rights have ended up like that.

Sound and audio seem to be slightly out of sync coming from Silverstone this afternoon, was noticable in interviews on Channel 4's W Series and also now on the F2 on Sky Sports F1.

I don't subscribe to Sky currently, so I've been watching the two free "marquee" featured group feeds (I can't be alone in finding this a more relaxing way to watch? it's just the end of day 4 where you've left without anything…) and the featured holes. One of the former (and it just seems to be one) has a NBC Golf graphic on the full screen leaderboard. Also, perhaps confusingly, there's at least one graphic that lists all the tee times for players who are yet to begin their rounds in EST rather than local time. It's also regularly leaving gaps for ad breaks.
There's a bunch of short films of which several are definitely pitched at a US audience (e.g. explaining the difference between snooker and pool, or all the names for sandwiches we don't use).
For the first time I can remember, all of this has a Sky Sports DOG, although the end caps all have an R&A copyright.
It's all nicely produced (and I prefer the world feed graphics to the BBC ones) but an omission is the lack of regular captions to remind you who the commentators are.
Would quite like to know if live golf aerial shots nowadays are mostly drone rather than helicopter?

Does anyone else understand why the BBC have their 2nd England Men's T20 International v Pakistan live on BBC One today with little promotion yet the Hundred seems to be all over BBC TV, Radio & Online at the minute with adverts even showing during the Euro 2020 Final last week, they had a women's match on against India and it rated well but again no promotion.
No problem with giving promotion to the Hundred just give equal promotion to other sports and competitions they have the rights to.

RTE did show the test highlights for their home tests but put it on late at night so that won't help get eyeballs on the product in the Republic of Ireland at least, I think Cricket is bigger in Northern Ireland and have plenty of local teams round where I live that have a great following and growing at the minute partly because of Ireland success the last few years but participation has risen since the lockdown ended however as you say will still be behind Football, Rugby Union, Golf, GAA & probably Boxing.

Well after that incident between Lewis Hamilton & Max Verstappen at Cospe today; the FIA race control has delayed the British GP at Silverstone for 15 minutes. Channel 4 have just gone into a break. Anyone tell me what Sky Sports F1 is doing now. Have they not taken a break?

AFAIK, Sky Sports F1 just continued with the rolling coverage. Having watched previous Grand Prix races on their channel, I know that they have alternated between the FIA world feed and their own cameras for presenter links/race control content. I don’t think they would usually go to an ad break if the race session is stopped unless the situation was quite serious.

Watching the Channel 4 coverage with the F1.com Live Timing on a second screen and the timing was a few seconds ahead of the TV pictures. The website being super quick or a delay in the TV pictures?
