It does seem odd, and it is also very odd for BBC 1 and 2 to be in simulcast. I remember with Diana BBC 2 split away about lunchtime I think?
As said up thread leave it to BBC 1 and ITV to have blanket coverage. I spent today in Central London, other than the BT Tower displaying the news, you wouldn't have know anything had happened. There was no sombre atmosphere

Yeah, hopefully the official socials of EastEnders, Emmerdale, Corrie and Hollyoaks will give us some info on the scheduled episodes that were supposed to air.

Though I must say I find that a little bit over the top. To have both BBC Two simulcasting and BBC Four suspended for the night seems a bit much.

That white-on-black BBC logo is what we would've seen domestically as well, before that rather tasteful news report slide we saw earlier was introduced. Some might have been surprised that the side and voiceover originated from news but I think that's been in the plans for years too (might have flipped back and forth at some points).

BBC Studios channels (Europe) and UKTV are played out from Munich by SES, but UKTV follow the same Obit guidelines in terms of look and feel as the BBC.
