ITV Programming Thread - Jon - 08-01-2022 boddington post_id=62223 time= user_id=2121 Wrote:Limitless Win will get at least 15 million viewers tonight, I imagine. It would be lucky to get 4 to 5 million, especially up against the Wheel. It’ll will of course benefit from following The Masked Singer and being hosted by Ant & Dec but I think neither of those things are guarantee of success. ITV Programming Thread - CameronYoung - 08-01-2022 Is the John Bishop show live or recorded shortly before transmission? ITV Programming Thread - Brekkie - 08-01-2022 Seems to be recorded in the afternoons as the dates are for Saturdays but the doors open at 1.30pm. https://www.sroaudiences.com/application.asp?show_id=1503 ITV Programming Thread - Johnr - 09-01-2022 Felt very odd for John to spoil The Masked Singer result and the Limitless win result to not only the audience present in the studio but to viewers who may have just stumbled onto ITV and had either of those shows recorded or planning to watch on catch up! He'd have had to have seen them, so it must've been live. Unless they were on ITV Hub prior to broadcast? Chances are they gave them an advance screening of them and the same commissioner would have likely worked across at least one of the other shows.Brekkie post_id=62322 time= user_id=976 Wrote:Seems to be recorded in the afternoons as the dates are for Saturdays but the doors open at 1.30pm.If Johnr is correct about him spoiling two other shows, this is impossible. Presenters of this type of programme are quite often shown advance screenings in order to push viewers to other programmes on the channel.Brekkie post_id=62322 time= user_id=976 Wrote:Seems to be recorded in the afternoons as the dates are for Saturdays but the doors open at 1.30pm.If Johnr is correct about him spoiling two other shows, this is impossible. ITV Programming Thread - eyeTV - 10-01-2022 Another twist on the singing show, why not combine it with dating? hock: Oti Mabuse presenting Romeo & Duet for ITV. https://www.itv.com/presscentre/press-releases/oti-mabuse-turns-musical-matchmaker-host-new-itv-dating-show-romeo-duet ITV Programming Thread - Brekkie - 10-01-2022 The pun doesn't quite work does it. Sounds more suited for ITV2 than the main channel really. ITV Programming Thread - Jez_CymruWales - 11-01-2022 Romeo and Duet sounds dreadful. Definitely something id expect to see on ITV2. It looks like The Good Karma Hospital will be returning this month, im guessing it will take the 8pm slot on Sundays immediately after Dancing on Ice. Be surprised if it went out another night. ITV Programming Thread - channelbox - 11-01-2022 The fact Romeo and Duet is seven parts suggests it will be stripped nightly in one week like The Masked Dancer and Walk the Line. I also think it's better suited to ITV2, as they have a vast amount of dating shows, such as Love Island, The Cabins, Ready To Mingle, Secret Crush, Love Bites & Dress to Impress. ITV Programming Thread - channelbox - 11-01-2022 Romeo and Duet is seven parts, which suggests it will be stripped nightly in one week, in the same way as The Masked Dancer and Walk the Line. It does sound better suited to ITV2, as it's a dating show, and ITV2 has lots of them. Love Island, The Cabins, Ready To Mingle, Secret Crush, Love Bites & Dress to Impress. ITV Programming Thread - Score - 11-01-2022 Romeo and Duet sounds like it is intended as the successor to Take Me Out now that's gone. So I'd expect a similar slot, probably before or after Britain's Got Talent. Feels like after having to tread water with lots of relatively small scale gameshows through Covid ITV are now pushing to launch new formats, some of which are probably seen as successors to the ones that were axed when they had that clear out not long before the first lockdown. ITV Programming Thread - tellyblues - 11-01-2022 ITV will always be on the lookout for new shows but they're having to focus more now because recent ones have been dreadful. Pre-pandemic they were commissioning stuff like Small Fortune so I wouldn't say they have downsized purely because of Covid. The X Factor and Take Me Out had gone stale and couldn't be saved so it could be that ITV don't think a massive show is worth it. The Masked Singer is the exception but that works so well because it's a unique format. Romeo and Duet doesn't sound like it's going to be any more popular than Take Me Out was at the end so ITV will have to aim higher. |
