The Sport Thread - RhysJR - 08-07-2021 The Lions have found a replacement team instead of the Bulls on Saturday. They will now play the Sharks (like yesterday) in Pretoria at 17:00. https://twitter.com/lionsofficial/status/1413131928266444808 The Sport Thread - thegeek - 08-07-2021 some ATP tennis has popped up in BT Sport's schedule for next week - I think that's possibly a first for them. The Sport Thread - Transmission - 09-07-2021 The Copa America final between Brazil and Argentina on Saturday night has (quite rightly, I think) been moved from the red button to BBC One. The Sport Thread - JAS84 - 09-07-2021 Sunday morning actually... why wasn't it on BBC One in the first place? They'd have only been simulcasting the news channel at 1am anyway. The Sport Thread - RhysJR - 09-07-2021 Seems Premier Sports has had a rebrand https://twitter.com/PremierSportsTV/status/1413426771769401346 https://www.premiersports.com/ The Sport Thread - Rdd - 09-07-2021 Unusual time to do it but I guess timed with the beginning of their SPFL Cup sponsorship. Keeping the trademark Setanta black and yellow colours, though maybe the mic covers (which were virtually the same as the old Setanta ones) will look a bit different now. FreeSports seems to not have changed to match? I think it is. Should complement their UK Pro League coverage on the red button nicely (not sure it was getting much attention in previous weeks. From their Twitter clips, the presenters/pundits seems to be using ear mic (not sure on the correct term) with guests having black unbranded mics. https://twitter.com/PremierSportsTV/status/1413566198885793803 Just checked FreeSports and looks exactly the same as before. Odd when its current brand heavily ties in with the now former Premier brand. The Sport Thread - Brekkie - 09-07-2021 It isn't that long is it since they last rebranded? The Sport Thread - RhysJR - 09-07-2021 Brekkie post_id=26867 time= user_id=976 Wrote:It isn't that long is it since they last rebranded? 2018 apparently - so three years ago https://logos.fandom.com/wiki/Premier_Sports EDIT Just to confirm, scoreboard graphic unchanged too. Would like the coloured lines to be thicker personally. https://twitter.com/PremierSportsTV/status/1413594525872820226 The Sport Thread - Rdd - 09-07-2021 Yeah the in game graphics are basically the same. The channel pres is quite nice though, plenty of animation in them! The new mic covers have run a mile from the Setanta influence though…they’re white with “PS” in a circle. The Sport Thread - Michael - 10-07-2021 The little red "Adv" tab which stuck out the top of the generic rugby scorebug made me think I'd missed an England red card for a moment there. The Sport Thread - Brekkie - 10-07-2021 Not a fan of this package at all to be honest - the team sheets look a mess and not keen on the tiny bits of information popping out of the scorebar, along with the unnecessary emblems making the graphic twice as big as it needs to be. The Sport Thread - Brekkie - 10-07-2021 Live F1 back on C4 next weekend with the British Grand Prix and a revamped weekend schedule which sees a new Sprint Qualifying format introduced. That means on Friday night they will show live qualifying, in the usual three part format, from 6pm to determine the starting places for the Sprint Qualifying race the following day. That will be a 100km "sprint" race taking about half an hour on Saturday at 4.30pm, with the finishing order determining the grid for the Sunday race at 3pm. |
