Prince Philip has Died - CameronYoung - 09-04-2021 https://twitter.com/scottygb/status/1380542013603463171 Also, the radio simulcast has ended. Prince Philip has Died - jsnbts - 09-04-2021 Radio 1 continues with instrumental music - Scott Mills just came on to announce there will be no chart show today, and the next news update will be at 5pm. Prince Philip has Died - Tom - 09-04-2021 I don't know if it has been mentioned but the Grand National tomorrow will be broadcast on the main ITV channel. Prince Philip has Died - MatthewFirth - 09-04-2021 Will they announce who was No.1 on BBC Radio 1, or will they postpone that will tomorrow? Prince Philip has Died - WeArethelosers - 09-04-2021 Obit loop on Yesterday (probably the only one still showing the loop) Prince Philip has Died - Josh - 09-04-2021 Newsround is live now with a special bulletin. Prince Philip has Died - James Martin - 09-04-2021 Coronation Street will air tonight's two episodes on Monday, with an hour episode on Tuesday to catch up. Prince Philip has Died - dbl - 09-04-2021 CBBC's Rhys did a sombre link into Newsround Prince Philip has Died - IdentFan101 - 09-04-2021 dbl post_id=4475 time=1617982382 user_id=966 Wrote:CBBC's Rhys did a sombre link into NewsroundI wonder if CBeebies did something similar? I assume Emmerdale will be an hour on Tuesday as well. Prince Philip has Died - thegeek - 09-04-2021 I'm told the women's football will be on the Red Button, and BBC Four will broadcast a slate directing viewers there. Can anyone remember if they did in 1997? Without venturing too much into radio on a TV presentation forum, it's quite interesting comparing how things were done in 1997 for Diana: http://andywalmsley.blogspot.com/2017/08/death-of-princess.html Prince Philip has Died - BeebBoy - 09-04-2021 Complete balls-up by BBC Radio Ulster: the on-air presenter took it upon himself to break the news (at 12:09), in a clear breach of the BBC's strict obit guidelines for a category 1 death, before opting into the News channel (or was it 5Live?) just seconds before the big red button was pressed in London and all the BBC's radio stations were recalled to Network for the official announcement by Tom Sanders. It has been known for quite some time what would happen on such an occasion, so there really is very little excuse for Ulster making such a hash of it. Sounded very messy. Certainly feels less jarring than the formal news of the last few hours but still very, very strange to hear.Yes, just turned it on and I'm hearing an instrumental version of Coldplay's "Magic". |
