Fairly sure the one used for Prince Philip was specifically designed for obits (with a slightly different version for the Queen I think?), at the same time the one pictured was in use as a generic graphic.

BBC One promos use show logos now - so I'm confused. New logo, no new logo? Seems contradictory. Do you mean that the studio footage (unsurprisingly) had the old logo but the new one was on the endboard?

I really like the new promo end boards for each programme trailer! I think they really help to give each show a proper brand and pushes the identity of the show and the BBC front and centre.

I get the strong inspiration from other services, like how Netflix promotes their shows with a giant N in the corner, or Disney with their logo slapped above any movie/TV property they own. This actually enforces the idea that this is a BBC show, not just categorised as a "BBC One" show.

Given they launched new One Show titles only a few weeks ago which are entirely built around the existing logo (both the animated logo form-up and red segmented background shapes), it seems clear they’ve never had any plans to change it. It’s not like it would just be a case of switching a font on a drop-down menu - the entire titles would have to be redesigned after just a few weeks.
Whilst in the past the One Show logo has mirrored the BBC One logo, they’ve obviously decided switching it to the rather cold and corporate Reith ONE in capitals wouldn’t suit the programme as well as the existing curvy lowercase font, so have decided to retain it.
I’m not saying it’s the right decision, as it does seem a bit naff keeping what is essentially the channel’s old logo. I think they’d have been best to go for something completely new, and break the link with the BBC One branding.

You’ll be pleased to know that the Question Time promo aired with the correct slide details. A lot more complicated for the production company than before!
Keep an eye on the blocks - they are less bouncy for news related stuff.

Why don’t the production company just do the video and get whoever it is who presses the buttons to play the promos to add on the blocks etc?
Also, why do they freeze sometimes. Looks odd.

Morning Live and Rip-Off Britain aren't in outdated fonts now, are they? The One Show logo will change at some point. I'm really getting sick of your constant attitude.

Continuing to say it won't make it any more true.
The One in One Show is a direct reference to the channel name. For it to continue to use the old logo is strange but understandable as the new one wouldn't really work, and certainly worthy of critique.
Your comparison with Morning Live and Rip Off Britain is, frankly, silly. Neither of them have a brand that is intrinsically linked to that of BBC One in the same way as the One Show is.
