Oh I agree, but they'll want to look like they're doing more than they actually are. Subtle is the way to go IMO.

Alot depends too on where ends up hosting it but as you say Eurovision of the last decade or so is essentially the same show in different accents.

What a shame the 23rd June is a Friday...
I don't think Eurovision has ever been held in June.

23rd June..
Was the EU referendum date..

Never mind. My last rough stab on here at an amusing ironic thought..

But it has been held on a Thursday and a Wednesday in the 1950s.

I think late May looks likely for next year - slightly later than usual due to the football season ending later (due to the break for the World Cup), meaning the Champions League Final isn't until June and the semi-finals are later than usual too.

I'm hoping that either the O2 Arena or the Manchester Arena will host the song contest next year.

What else would be there? The UK is the participant country, Scotland is not, other than as part of the UK.

I'm not sure why that would be challenged by the Scottish Government.  I suspect the 'heart symbol' within the logo may well be a mixture of UK/Ukraine as a sign of support and that we are doing it on behalf of Ukraine.
