Getting there but in doing so it highlights how that iPlayer logo is horrid. In that form there is nothing nice to say about it at all.

Even ignoring the much better design of the outgoing Iplayer logo having got used to the all pink version introduced relatively recently (can't be much more than a year ago) the white logo and pink text really clash now, especially with the BBC logo at this size.

Surely this is what these end boards should look like, also included the proper iPlayer logo not the current mashup they seem to insist on using at the moment.

Though their incorrect logo looks a lot more like the new one than it did the old one, so it looks a lot less wrong!

I do have to wonder if the reason they still haven't updated and defaulted to the new icons is because BBC News is taking their slowbones time trying to change an SVG to Reith.

I think the consensus was that it is supposed to represent the globe, although I feel that was more realised from News' historic connection to globes rather than from the symbol itself. But I suppose there is only so much you can do with three rectangles.

This is better than what they’re using, but the ‘ONE’ is so bland and with any distance from the ‘BBC’ just looks odd. The 1997 rebrand with very uniform ‘ONE’ ‘TWO’, ‘C’ etc worked OK because the distinctive BBC logo was always right next to it.

The whole thing seems really half-baked, which is disappointing.
