I definitely prefer the Sky Max logo and ident to Sky Showcase’s, it feels very modern, almost like something they’d use in a Sky Broadband advert, it’s a great piece of design.

So technically, Sky One became Sky Max and moved the channel slot, and Sky Showcase, a new channel, took channel 106 on Sky, right?

For me, they could have kept the Sky One name with the Sky Showcase programming and did a PR blitz along the lines of "SKy One - The One to watch for all things Sky" and then kept Sky Max with what would be Sky One's output old/new

They could have put at least one space between Sky and Showcase! Sky and their channel names being squashed and abbreviated really bugs me! :lol:

Oh they are better than what they used to be. TV identification went through a stage where they picked some random real life scene involving people and then had a trip in some random font library and stuck it over the top of said scene.

The Sky Max ident looks slick and modern as expected. Showcase is just underwhelming by comparison.
Definitely feels as if Max has been given a lot more of a push by Sky as it stands.
