I know it’s normal to be a little delayed, but I heard my neighbours celebrate Sterling’s goal about 30 seconds before I saw it on BBC UHD.
It’s normal for any live stream, UHD or not.

The first UHD HDR streams the BBC did from the 2018 World Cup were about 90 seconds to 2 minutes behind for most people. By the end of the tournament they’d tweaked things to get that down to about 45 seconds. So 30 seconds isn’t bad going.

I started watching it on UHD and the picture looks very good. But I switched to HD, as I prefer to watch it as live as possible. Knowing there's a 1 to 2 minute delay spoils the UHD experience a bit.

Euro 2020 (+1) - Markymark - 13-06-2021

I've just double checked mine, it's 75 seconds behind. According to my router I'm sucking about 40 Mb/s download (which is massive)

Clearly something wrong with Lineker's camera when that shot was taken ?

Zattoo in Switzerland and Germany have got it down to 10 seconds for their HD streams in time for the tournament.

Is the highlights package currently being shown on ITV from the world feed or from BBC Sport?

Euro 2020 (+1) - scottishtv - 13-06-2021

Does anyone else think Gary and the pundits at Wembley look a bit awkward with the handheld mics? Looks quite old school.

Is the lack of "Madonna" mics due to covid restrictions not allowing these to be fitted by a member of the sound team? (or some other reason?)

Euro 2020 (+1) - TRWBUK - 13-06-2021

ITV's studio looks too big for me. I like the idea but it seems like they've gone too large on the 'window' - the four people at the bottom are overwhelmed by the huge view.

Also not sure why the floor is in the shape of the Big Brother eye.

Euro 2020 (+1) - ethanh05 - 13-06-2021

What I don't understand with ITV's scoreboard is why they haven't even attempted to include the 'ITV SPORT' logo as part of the design - it just sits incongruously on the left-hand side of it. The only thing it achieves is pushing the added time graphic into almost the centre of the screen. And why is the bit with the time bigger than both team names?

Must say, though, that ITV's titles and particularly theme are growing on me.

Of course it’ll be from the world feed with ITV’s commentary.

Does anyone know the current speed requirements for live UHD on iPlayer? We have a broadband speed of around 30mbps. Are we most likely getting a 1440p feed?

Firstly, you select the option saying UHD do you have a UHD TV?If so, I’m not sure if it would down scale the feed or just not properly. On our LG TV an icon appears for a few moments when it goes into that mode.

Yes, we have an LG CX and we were watching the BBC UHD feed of the match earlier. The TV reported "HLG HDR" when it loaded the stream. I'm just wondering if we were likely to be getting the full-fat 2160p stream, or the downscaled 1440p feed for weaker connections Smile

RTE's coverage in Ireland were reporting that Eriksen had collapsed yesterday due to a cardiac arrest. He was given one defibrillator by the medical team to revive him on the pitch. I will say this & say this again; I hope Eriksen pulls through.

During the 2018 UHD iplayer streaming it was something like that.

I seem to recall you needed a minimum connection of 36 Mb/s to get the full 3840 x 2160 resolution. You're right it notches down if your broadband connection is below that minimum figure
