Ukraine Crisis - Brekkie - 28-02-2022 I've not seen any of Sky's coverage this time around but when I think back to the Iraq War of 2003 it I'd Mark Austin anchoring the Evening News on location that is my stand out memory of the reporting of the event. He excels when anchoring such stories on location. Ukraine Crisis - valley - 28-02-2022 Markymark post_id=70665 time= user_id=1078 Wrote:Do RT still have facilities in Millbank Tower? But, I'm surprised that Arqiva and whoever provide their satellite space continue to want to do business with them. While Sky might have a requirement to offer EPG services to anyone with a licence, I can't imagine that transmitter rental on a com multiplex and space on a satellite is covered by the same arrangements. Reports said that Rossiya Segodnya (a Russian government news agency) pulled the funding saying they instead wanted to focus on output from Moscow and Washington DC. Wow. That's quite something. Sort of on a par with Eddie Marr's interview with Boris Johnson a few years ago Ukraine Crisis - Ash101 - 28-02-2022 Was she on the AM media round yesterday morning? Interesting that ITV got an interview with her, considering they're not usually on air or broadcasting at that time. Oh yes, sorry I was aware of that. But what I meant was that they're not usually apart of the Sunday morning media run, so good to see them getting an interview. Looks like they caught up with her outside of Broadcasting House, unless I'm mistaken? Ukraine Crisis - Craigwills - 28-02-2022 I noticed Sky’s special 1pm slot was little different to any other hour these past few days, as I think Brekkie predicted. It wasn’t even branded as a special programme, the Graphics and introduction kept “Sky News Today” branding, that despite Jayne trialing it as a special programme all morning too. I didn’t watch the full hour mind you. Jayne anchoring 1pm-2pm from the Glass Box, having started at the earlier time of 10am - with no Ian King Live today although Ian is on air giving updates on the business implications of sanctions. Climate show is still scheduled for 8:30 and The Great Debate at 9pm too, I’m surprised the former hasn’t been dropped once again. I think I have seen in the past that ITV/ITN do sometimes get an interview with the minister doing the rounds on Sundays, similarly how they often get a slot with the minister on weekdays, separate to GMB. But I think often it’s favourable for ITN to use some of the more juicer sound bites that come from Marr and Ridge (or Raworth and Phillips as it is at the moment!). ITV actually miss Jeremy Kyle in situations like this - the This Morning summaries are actually very good and surprisingly lengthy but that 9.25-10.30 slot was always quite useful for big stories like this for ITV News to bring together the stories from overnight.
