Technically only the first 2 seasons of both Red Dwarf and Happy Days though (and not the first series of OFAH).

think the ultimate aim was for him in due course to be the mascot for the Virgin Media channels, but all that went out the window when Sky bought the TV stations only a year later after Virgin1 was (re)launched. Believe he was made by the same people who made Monkey for ITV Digital, except the whole reincarnation/second happening of Monkey didn't happen for Red, who simply vanished into the ether when Sky came along and was never seen or heard from again.

I just come across to one of the final episodes of Live & Kicking from 2001 when I spotted something in which I think you'll be interested in. What if Casualty was not a drama series but a sitcom, well in a round called The Biz Quiz, L&K swapped the themes of one show with another show and in this clip, Casualty's theme got replaced by the theme tune of Grandstand. I recommend you have a watch and listen to see what you think of it.

My question here is what is the presenter doing at about 03:05? He reaches under the desk and presses a button or two on a remote control type of device. Is this something to do with the autocue?

I suspect he's using a footpedal to scroll the script, but you cannot typically use those to move to a different story quickly.
