Yeah, we are. Top two images from TV Live. Couldn't find anything other than idents on there for the 2019 pres, so the last two are from Ident Gallery.

I prefer the original 2013 style over what we've got now

The way I see it, ITV is not exactly a "high-brow" network, which is what I think the surrounding pres is supposed to look like

The 2013 style does not look "high-brow", but I think it fits ITV more as the network it is now

They can keep the Creates idents if they want, just bring back the 2013 pres

Maybe another huge rebrand is what they need if they want to shift away from the high-brow image they tried to achieve.

Not exactly sure how you've concluded the current look is "high brow".

I must admit I'm not a huge fan of it but seeing the four different styles in one post above I think it stands up rather well.

Sometimes simplicity is better, and I believe that's the case.

While idents are mostly OK, the end boards and bumpers leave a bit to be desired..

According to this tweet the Christmas additions are the final ever new ITV Creates idents.

So I expect they will continue to use all of the existing idents in some kind of rotation or there will be something new.

(I feel like a broken record saying this but) ITV should just mix together the past 'weekly creates' into one package. It would be a good stopgap if they aren't planning on something new. With 74 different visuals (not counting the generic/sombre and Kids Create) each with five or so variants, that might have the most variety of any current ident package. I'm baffled to why they haven't done this yet.

Heard a couple of continuity announcements today beginning with "Get your vaccines now to help fight covid 19". Sounds out of place there really - not a bad thing for ITV or any broadcaster to encourage people to get vaccinated themselves but I think creating their own spot ad to run alongside or instead of the government ads would be more appropriate - something similar to the ITV2 Blood Squad ads which are very well done IMO.

I've not heard these announcements yet, but to be honest it's going back to what we've discussed already about not being to overfamiliar with your audience, and I think this crosses that line.

Creating a separate promo with this message is a much better way to get this across.

Continuity and public health messages need to be distinctly separate. I can't imagine an announcement with "in an hour the chase is on, just enough time for me to get a chlamydia check up, a route canal filled, or that boil on my back checked, no though it's Lingo".

The messaging gets lost, and we all full well know the problems with mixed messaging!!

Wrong approach by ITV doing this I'm afraid.

That made me laugh more than it should.

Yes, it just sounds forced and unnatural - and therefore insincere and not getting the message across in the way it's intended. Even if it was along the lines of "for more information on how to get vaccinated against Covid-19 go to itv.com/news" it would just feel a bit more natural and be more of a call to action. What would probably be most effective if they really want to go down that route is the hosts of the relevant shows themselves introducing their programmes confirming they've had the vaccine and encouraging others to do the same.

The ITV Creates campaign has got to the point now where a new set of idents doesn't even generate discussion here, never mind capture the imagination of a wider audience.

Will also say that although it's nice ITV went to the effort of a couple of new ident sets for Christmas I don't think either of them are anywhere near as good as the three repeated sets used earlier in the month - the village scene especially is a favourite of mine across all the ITV Creates sets they've used, but the Reindeer and Gift Box versions also work well. Surprised really they've never done an ITV Kids Create set for Christmas - that would have worked quite well too I imagine.
