TV Predictions 2022 - London Lite - 05-12-2021 More old guard departures at Sky News with some going between GB News and Talk TV. Talk TV launches to an even lower share than GB News despite publicity in News UK titles. Piers Morgan is the most watched show. The Times Radio breakfast show is simulcast on Talk TV. They also take Plank of the Week from talkRADIO, alongside highlights from Chris Evans's breakfast show on Virgin and live sessions. Farage departs GB News to go back into politics. Richard Tice replaces him. More changes to GB News peak with Brazier axed from weekdays, which sees him moved to weekends. Departures at GB News include Simon McCoy, Kirsty Gallacher, Nana Akua and Rosie Wright. Sky Glass goes on streaming STB's under a new brand which has all the basic elements of Glass in a box. National Geographic and Wild leave linear television to finally go across to Disney+ with new shows premiering there instead of linear platforms. NOW launches on Nvidia Shield in a deal similar to the one they have with Sony for their Android TV sets. Price rise of NOW Cinema Membership to £11.99pm as new films return after the lockdowns. March/April 2022 for BBC One HD in the English regions on Sky, Freesat and Virgin, along with iPlayer. Freeview a tad later, possibly later spring, early summer. (Connected TV platforms get 1080p/others stay at 720p to reduce hosting costs). BBC One English regions axe their SD regions on DSAT to make space for the HD local versions, but keep a "BBC One England SD" variant on for Sky and Freesat viewers with older SD receivers, which will do the same as BBC One HD does currently with network programming, red screen during regional news and sharing four BBC regional Sunday political shows on rotation. No change to BBC One SD English regions on Freeview. ITV stay with their HD macro regions until Autumn 2022 on PSB3. Autumn 2022 for the new look One, Six and Ten. TV Predictions 2022 - Toby brown - 05-12-2021 DeMarkay post_id=57117 time= user_id=1013 Wrote:CBBC and CBeebies to merge into one channel. Cbbc and cbeebies will never merge i remember a rumour about cbeebies going a few years ago and lots of angry parents sighning petitions against it also newsround and newsbeat will never merge either they are aimed at completely different audiences. With respect what makes you think those two things will happen TV Predictions 2022 - DeMarkay - 05-12-2021 Toby brown post_id=57122 time= user_id=1251 Wrote:DeMarkay post_id=57117 time= user_id=1013 Wrote:CBBC and CBeebies to merge into one channel. With respect these are fun little predictions that everyone gets involved with. Everyone has one or two silly predictions. Seeing as BBC Radio 1’s target audience is 15-29 year olds and CBBC’s is 6 to 17 year olds, there is a crossover between the two. So with respect, you can see why the two could merge together and reach even more people, whilst tailoring content for younger viewers. Also, again, with respect, learn how to use punctuation please and thanks. TV Predictions 2022 - London Lite - 05-12-2021 My predictions for 2021 on TVF aren't too bad. Quote:UTV relaunches as ITV Northern Ireland. STV Central news bulletins did finally go HD. Glasgow first, followed by Edinburgh. BBC News/World News did keep the Covid schedule for most of the year, slowly reintroducing the World News branded bulletins. Morning Live is on for most of the year, except for Rip Off Britain who takes the 9.15 slot. iPlayer finally started to be officially in 1080p on some connected TV sets and Amazon Fire TV Cube 2nd Gen. With respect what makes you think those two things will happen Quote: CBBC (short for Children's BBC, also known as the CBBC Channel) is a British free-to-air children's television channel owned and operated by the BBC and the brand used for all BBC content for children and teenagers aged 6 to 17. TV Predictions 2022 - Solari - 06-12-2021 All right, here’s mine:
TV Predictions 2022 - Brekkie - 06-12-2021 Solari post_id=57139 time= user_id=1734 Wrote:Dermot Murnaghan will retireThat's a depressing thought - still think of him as the trendy young gun as part of the late night schedule on the ITV Nightly News. TV Predictions 2022 - Blubatt - 06-12-2021 Might as well reach for the moon, and make some TV predictions so crazy an unlikely to happen, they have to happen (NOTE: Some of these are jokes) 1. New Doctor Who is announced prior to or just after one of the new specials, with them starting in 2023 for the anniversary. 2. Rather than speculating about if they will, but I predict BBC One's new idents to bring back a central symbol. Whatever that may be, I don't know. Hopefully a Globe. 3. Holby City's replacement won't last the year. 4. Talk TV's launch will be like GB News', except it will have better studios, equipment, and will be less focused on the 'Woke patrol' 5. GB News will have a failed relaunch, and will die, presumably by the end of 2022, maybe into 2023, I don't know. 6. ITV 2 and ITVBe will merge into one channel, while ITV's 3 and 4 will become the new Encore, and Action 7. Channel 4 won't celebrate their 40th. 8. The Sky Puck will be launched, and basically be the new MultiRoom, alongside Glass. 9. Peacock will eventually be a paid extra, on top of your Sky Package. 10. The BBC News Relaunch will see a huge shake up of presenters, with Huw Edwards becoming the David Dimbleby of the BBC, and Andrew Marr's former slot basically become more integrated with BBC News Channel. 11. BBC News broadcasts its bulletins from each of the Nation's headquarters (Breakfast in Salford as usual, but News at One in Cardiff, News at Six in Glasgow, and News at Ten in London) 12. David Icke returns to TV. 13. Not a nice speculation, but should Queen Elizabeth II pass away during the year, expect the coverage of that to be twice as long and ten times as controversial. 14. ITV becomes regionalised again, and all the pre-1999 brands are revived. And then we all wake up and realise it was a dream. TV Predictions 2022 - Rob - 06-12-2021 Well, I was completely wrong last year... Quote:My predictions: My predictions for 2022: - A globe will feature as part of the new BBC One idents - Special presentation for Channel 4's 40th anniversary - Challenge will close down - Good Morning Britain will get a major presentation overhaul, Richard Madeley appointed as permanent co-host. - Anne Robinson will leave Countdown |
