ITV Programming Thread - MrUdagawa - 30-04-2021 India Willoughby seems to be suggesting it has been pulled but don't know where she's getting the info from. https://twitter.com/IndiaWilloughby/status/1388091050896547843 ITV Programming Thread - Whataday - 30-04-2021 India Willoughby isn't a particularly reliable (or informed) source, but it wouldn't surprise me. Perhaps putting it on the ITV Hub might be a compromise for those that still want to watch it. Last night's instalment continued to perform strongly, with 3.5m and a 20% share. ITV Programming Thread - Johnr - 30-04-2021 At least the format of the show means it isn't too much work to cast a new lead actor for Series 2, which I presume ITV will be ordering based on the half decent ratings so far of this one ITV Programming Thread - Brekkie - 30-04-2021 Although lets face it these types of dramas are ten a penny on ITV - if they feel the brand is tarnished they can launch a replacement rather than a second series. ITV Programming Thread - stewart_scott - 30-04-2021 No confirmation from ITV yet but looks like Viewpoint will not air tonight, to be replaced by It'll Be Alright on the Night. https://twitter.com/TVZone_/status/1388110644285685762?s=20 EDIT: Tweet since deleted, like I said no firm confirmation yet in any schedule changes from ITV thus far regarding Viewpoint. https://twitter.com/TVZone_/status/1388117739370389509?s=19 ITV Programming Thread - stewart_scott - 30-04-2021 Confirmation that Viewpoint will not air tonight, will be made available for a limited time on ITV Hub. https://www.itv.com/presscentre/press-releases/itv-statement-viewpoint “ITV has a zero tolerance policy to bullying, harassment and victimisation and robust procedures in place to investigate and deal with any complaints. We strongly believe that everyone deserves to work in a supportive and safe environment. In light of the very serious nature of the allegations against Noel Clarke raised by 20 women in the Guardian’s report, ITV has decided it is no longer appropriate to broadcast the final episode of the drama Viewpoint on ITV main channel this evening. “We are mindful that some of our viewers have already invested four hours of their time over the past four nights in following this thriller which was due to conclude this evening, and they have yet to see the final episode. As such we plan to make it available on ITV Hub tonight for a limited time for any viewers who wish to seek it out, and watch its conclusion.” ITV Programming Thread - Ash101 - 30-04-2021 "ITV main channel" seems an odd phrase in an official statement. ITV Programming Thread - XIII - 30-04-2021 ITV's decision is the best they could come with at short notice. There will be many who won't be happy with that decision either way but at least those who want to watch the conclusion will get the chance to do so. ITV Programming Thread - MrUdagawa - 30-04-2021 Underestimate India Willoughby's sources at your peril. ITV Programming Thread - RhysJR - 30-04-2021 BREAKING A hole in the ITV schedule tonight for understanable reasons. The correct call considering the circumstances. https://twitter.com/itvpresscentre/status/1388132868635910145 ITV Programming Thread - Johnr - 30-04-2021 Looks like the entire thing will be ITV Hub but only for the weekend (2 days left to watch showing on all episodes) ITV Programming Thread - VMPhil - 30-04-2021 If their stance is that they're still going to make it available in some form and not pull it entirely, I feel like they may as well have broadcast it anyway, given it's the final episode. They could start it with some sort of message about ITV's stance against bullying and that they won't be working with him in the future, but knew viewers would want to see the conclusion of the series. ITV Pull Viewpoint - Brekkie - 30-04-2021 I thought they might at least throw it out after the news. Will be interesting how it affects international airings - I know ABC in Australia bought it.
