Always amazed me how all these East Anglian companies past and present got away with their branding being so obviously inspired/copied by/from the Knight, flag and text logo!

In the early day of CG, the designs had to be written in code, not just as simple as a bit of 3D modelling. It would make sense for CG companies to offer the same designs to other broadcasters given the complexity.

I don't know if this image will load, but in 1996 LWT for seemingly no reason reverted to a 1989 Generic-like slide after using ones that seemed to be more based off their 1986 counterparts in 1992. Don't really know if this one counts, but considering that the generic look had all but died out by 1996 it seems more like it was inspired by the generic look rather than just modifying it.

You've linked to a blank placeholder. I think I found the image you meant by going to https://www.tvark.org/?page=1064, pressing F12, and navigating to Application > Frames > Images. TV Ark seems to be coded to prevent the standard "Copy Image Address" from working properly.

This may not be surprising considering their relationship, but do they share visual effect elements often like this? (Or an even wilder thought-could there be a TTTV version of the Yorkshire ident?)

To be really fair the idents you found were from 1990s and 1997, when public Internet was not as widespread as it is today, so they decided to flat out copy them because they considered that the risk of Channel 4 and the BBC actually finding out about their idents was extremely low
