I thought the DOGs on all their channels change at the beginning of each programme (and after commercials) from 'UKTV' to the channel logo? Surely that's enough? RE: UKTV channel names - JAS84 - 21-06-2022 Do you really think people notice that? RE: UKTV channel names - Kunst - 21-06-2022 It'd be such a bad idea. I don't understand why UK channels all have to carry the company name, this has worked wonderful for UKTV. The channels carry "proper" identities; there are promos that make you understand you're watching a UKTV channel anyway. RE: UKTV channel names - CATV - 21-06-2022 Even if it's a Good or Bad idea in the current climate of traditional broadcasting it would not be wise to change anything. Personally I like the brands they got. They work well. RE: UKTV channel names - NancerOnTheLIVEForum - 23-06-2022 If not changing the names back to UKTV ones then maybe tie the brands closer to each other? RE: UKTV channel names - all new Phil - 23-06-2022 Classic TVLF attempt to fix a problem that doesn’t exist. I can’t think of a single reason why it’d be better to call Dave ‘UKTV Dave’. Not what I meant but ok. RE: UKTV channel names - Rob - 24-06-2022 We seem to be going round and round and round and round (repeat ad nauseum) in circles, and not getting anywhere, so this thread is closed. |
