Kuenssberg would be my choice as well.
Will be interesting how she handles the non political stuff. Marr was very into the arts but I don't get that impression from Laura.

They might ditch the arts section. It says a new look and format so there's nothing to say they have to do that if it's not within Laura's comfort zone. Maybe instead of the arts per se, they could do something along the lines of the fluffier stuff they do on Newscast which Laura is very good at - that would add a little light and shade.

This Sunday Times article yesterday is behind a paywall but it suggested Husain could go to a rival broadcaster if she didn't get the Sunday morning gig, as it's claimed that she's bored with presenting Today on Radio 4.

When thinking about the name, they no doubt also have to think about the hashtag too. #Kuenssberg is quite long and prone to spelling mistakes no doubt. "LK on Sunday" maybe (though the BBC do love a "...on Sunday" title, especially on Radio 2
) #BBCLK ... or simply #laurak? Haven't seen it mentioned here (unless I missed a topic somewhere..., if so, apologies) but Matt Chorley on Times Radio has been presenting a series of shows on the Sunday politics shows at 50. The Breakfast with Frost episode is very interesting.

[mention]boddington[/mention] Thanks for that article. An interesting read, though I really can't see someone like Mishal Husain leaving the BBC over lack of money. The BBC absolutely won't want to lose her and I am quite sure her future at the BBC is secure. It'll be wonderful to see her back on TV much more when she leaves Today.
Fiona Bruce has more or less left Network News other than the odd Monday '6' now and again. I can't recall the last time she did the '10'.
The '6' needs some stability presenter wise, it's been dilly dally for a long time. Huw Edwards is clocking up more and more work for BBC Wales/Cymru than ever before - I think change will happen sooner rather than later.

Don’t rule out Raworth, she’s the BBC’s golden girl and still young. She’d be the simple choice for major events if Huw departed. She already has a decent portfolio of shows.
