Presumably the same feed used for both broadcasters nowadays but back in the 70s/80s did the BBC and ITV use the same match footage fir the FA Cup Final?

BBC having quite a clearout in Sport across the board 
* John Inverdale, Jeremy Guscott or Brian Moore finished on the 6 Nations (Jonathan Davies overdue to be shown the door too)
* Garth Crooks & Mark Lawrenson also away from BBC football coverage
* John Virgo & Dennis Taylor due to leave Snooker coverage in 2023

Dare I say budget cuts partly due to the licence fee freeze may be a factor. I imagine that some of these long serving individuals may be a lot more expensive than employing newer equivalents.

Probably more due to loss of rights due to cuts than salaries in the case of the rugby - even though John Inverdale was their main Six Nations presenter I suspect Gabby was preferred moving forward, especially as she's a regular across BBC Sport across the year on other things more so than John.

Have never heard of her and think really a familiar face was required here to win over the fans.  Can't be risking another "Jessica Ennis...  Goodnight".

That said I think right not to take on Clive Tyldesley.  No surprise about ITV using Hugh on the EFL - he's very good on the rugby.
