Nope - watching in Chrome on Windows (and just checked Safari on Mac), and I only get 1080p30.

Was quite a nice sight to see the hosts in the stadium with a decent crowd behind them at half term. Still seemingly on a platform rather than in a studio from what I could tell, which I think even before covid broadcasters seemed to be moving towards.

Also good to see on streaming BT Sport the DOG no longer clashes with the graphic they use to catch illegal streamers out by moving it down slightly. Do find it frustrating though that paying consumers have to see it - I thought the pub glass on the commercial feed was intended to do the same job.

Just like the Europa League final on BT, the Champions League final on CBS has begun with a Batcam FPV drone segment:

Also, some interesting and innovative use of AR and other techniques in the "immersive performance" of the Opening Ceremony.

The info on the tech used in the UEFA.com article:
Quote:Developed in partnership with multi-award-winning creative director, Es Devlin, and using real-time virtual production and Game Engine technology, the show used 3D camera tracking to integrate Marshmello into a world of his own imagination, and create an unforgettable spectacle that thrilled fans at the stadium and those watching from home.

The Champions League Final has an opening ceremony?

Where is CBS's coverage from?

Now that, was pretty impressive.

Yep, for some reason (it being sponsered by Pepsi may be a big clue why it exsits).

Since 2016 it has been a musical performance lasting 5-10 minutes around 10-15 minutes before kick-off (looked like BT went to an ad break instead of showing it today). Looks like previously it was more like a standard sporting opening ceremony in the past, such as this 'interesting' performance at Wembley in 2013.

I have to say, the VAR Bunker..sorry, IMG Studios fly thru was the better one of the two. Different levels of the building, trees (the natural emeny of drone shots) 360degree pivots, and narrower doorways.

I wonder who had the idea for a HQ fly-thru first, I wonder? BT Sport or IMG?

Yesterday's UEFACL Opening ceremony was wholly on Tape, seemed pointless really apart from satisfying a sponsor.

Interesting to see Sky are only showing a basic “sky sports LIVE” DOG without the channel name (SS Premier League) on their coverage of Malta v Northern Ireland, any reason why? Is this to not disturb the ‘Premier League’ brand?

Correct, as I understand it the licensing agreement to call the channel Sky Sports Premier League states that whilst it can be used for coverage of other football matches, no Premier League branding can be used.

Are these warm up matches under the Sky deal which includes some friendly matches as firstly they're all on Sky and secondly ITV have highlights of them all, which isn't usually the case.

Yes, they have the rights to Scotland, Wales, Ireland and NI friendlies until 2022.

I, for one, will be sad to see them go as Matt and Sue have been there since I first watched the show and Phil took over not long afterwards. Saying that, it has been a long run and does seem right in a way for a new team to come in and hopefully breath fresh life into the format.
I assume also the last time we see the current graphics? Surely the complete changeover includes the presentation.
