So a 5.15-6.30 slot on BBC2 would have probably been better. These draw shows are always awful - considering eventually the argument won out for the lottery that just showing the result was sufficient it's probably the same here too.
Guess the draw should be an indication of the graphics package too.

8.00 finish would have been more appropiate I think. BBC One crossing over to Qatar at 17:30 with Idris Elba and Reshmin Choudhury presenting something before the draw.

England to play group games on Mon 21st, Fri 25th and Tue 29th November. Knockout games then either Sat/Sun then Fri/Sat.
Wales/Scotland/Ukraine in the same group, along with Iran and USA.

England v Wal/Sco/Ukr the final group game so keeps the simultaneous group game situation simple.
Being in the same group also makes doing the picks ahead of knowing qualification easier too. There was always going to be additional interest in Ukraine anyway should they qualify ahead of Wales and Scotland but even more so now should they end up in the same group. I would bet on Eng v USA on ITV and Eng v Iran on the BBC, with vice versa for the other group games. Then Eng v Walscoukr on whoever has first pick. Germany v Spain probably the most attractive fixture from the other groups.

Not sure why… it was slightly disconcerting!

Senegal v. Netherlands will now be the opening game of the tournament with Qatar v. Ecuador the third match of the day. England v. IR Iran will be in the middle of that sandwich at 13:00 GMT (and Scotland/Ukraine/Wales v. USA at 19:00 GMT that same day).

First time in several tournaments England have played their first match during weekday working hours. But after that all England confirmed and possible matches will either be 7pm or weekend daytime. For Wales or Scotland it would be two prime time matches but a weekday morning match for a second match.

One potential complication this time around is the knockout games beginning the day after the group games. I think usually there is a couple of rest days but this time around the picks for the weekend matches at least would surely need to be done once that half of the draw is complete. Indeed wonder if rather than the BBC/ITV choosing first to eighth pick of Round 2 whether they might split the picks according to the half of the draw, so the weekend games are decided once Group A-D are completed, and then Group E-H determined in another round of picks.

The Womens Six Nations graphics not really getting any better - think it's the stretched font used for the time and suplementary text which ruins them.
The France Top 14 though have some simple but therefore nice graphics still - and they've added a conversion clock too from the point the try is scored. At some point in recent years the time allowed to take the conversion has increased to 90 seconds, as every Welshman found out a couple of weeks back.
