That desk-sofa mix was actually when Breakfast shared with the nationals in N6...by the time they went back to TC7 they didn't bother with the desk. BBC Breakfast - Newsroom - 15-10-2021 I can't recall Breakfast coming from N6 other than at Weekends? Between 2006 and '08 it shared the set with the 1, 6 and 10 - studio images at the top here (https://tv-live.co.uk/tv-breakfast/bbc/bbc-breakfast/presentation/bbc-breakfast-2006-2009/) show the desk on the baking tray, and the sofa on the ground - they moved the desk to the other side for the bulletins. I recall there was a brief video (with Sian I think) on relaunch day showing them preparing in the new set. They moved out again when N6 was being refreshed for the News Channel '08 revamp. At weekends they initially came from N8, but then moved to N6 in Spring 2008 (same as News 24/News Channel). BBC Breakfast - Stanley Matravers - 20-10-2021 Report about the death of composer Leslie Bricusse included a clip from a certain 1971 film featuring Gene Wilder singing "Pure Imagination". ?? The caption credited the film title as "Willy Wonka and the Chocolare Factory". ? BBC Breakfast - JAS84 - 21-10-2021 I guess boddington mixed them up? Anyway, get well soon, Bill. BBC Breakfast - Stanley Matravers - 23-10-2021 What I picture for Breakfast, when the Chameleon rebrand reaches BBC news output in the spring, is... The same sort of footage of Salford Quays as currently, with the same theme music. But with the HH:MM:SS clock now in Reith Sans at the bottom of the screen (as per the channel names on idents). It changes to the word "NEWS" as the blocks animate in at the top of the screen, and the logo which appears in the centre of the screen be a translucent orange square with the 9 letters of the programme name presented as three rows of 3 letters. [ B ] [ B ] [ C ] B R E A K F A S T NEWS As "Newsnight" is also 9 letters, the same "box logo" concept (maybe in purple, or something?) would also work. All of which, is probably about as likely as a TV comeback for John Leslie or Michael Barrymore. I like it BBC Breakfast - Brekkie - 23-10-2021 I'd imagine they'll just add the BBC logo at the top and have Breakfast centre screen as now, perhaps moving to the bottom for the headlines/coming up segments. Whether it updates fully when BBC News does depends I guess on how big the network bulletin revamp is - if the pips remain I don't think it will TBH. They might hold out for the Salford studio to be refitted, although ideally they'd prioritise that one to be ready in time for the relaunch. |
