Looks like LCI will be getting a new studio from September. The Matinale this morning was in the secondary studio but with strange podiums for each of the contributors to fit everyone in while ensuring social distancing. Also, no HD since the secondary studio cannot broadcast in HD.

Emmanuel Macron is using a studio overlooking the Eiffel Tower, at the far end of the Parc du Champ de Mars, for the latest live Covid update right now, complete with a moving jib shot. I'm going to guess from the height it's on top of the École Militaire?
I'm guessing it will be used for the joint interview on Wednesday lunchtime, but maybe also by France 2 for presentation for the Concert de Paris in the evening?

Looking at the native HD version of LCI, it's a mash-up of SD and HD. The clock, logo and flipper are HD, while the studio content and graphics are SD.

LCI weather presenter Guillaume Woznica has confirmed to a lenodal member that there will indeed be a new studio (no surprise there, Pujadas mentioned it on-air on Monday) but also new graphics.

Yes - apparently you can just turn up, so either there's no or just partial ticketing (only watched for the first time last year, so not sure if that's new…)
I thought one of the best bits of coverage was the helicopter flying around Paris as the sun set. Also, not sure I've ever seen a firework display quite so long, almost a full half hour.
Would be interesting to find out how many countries rebroadcast it (it's on EBU).

France 2's lunchtime game show Everyone wants to take their place is being revamped from August 9th.
Nagui presented his final edition today to be replaced by the presenter of Mot de passe Laurence Boccolini.
The revamp includes new titles, a new logo which has been feminised and a new set, which you can see below.

Personally I don't think the revamp will work, but France 2 have been looking for a suitable format for Laurence to work on and it's safe to say that it will no longer have the Michael Barrymore style long discussions and comedy with the contestants which take up half the show.
My mother has already decided that she's changing over to TF1's Les 12 coups de midi where Jean-Luc Reichmann delivers in a similar style to Nagui.

Johanna Ghiglia is returning to present Franceinfo's La Matinale on Mon-Fri this week before she heads of to TéléMatin at the end of August.
David Delos who is a morning regular is co-presenting and so far is the only member of the team who hasn't taken time off through the grand vacance.
What has been surprising is they've tried to keep some regular presenter consistency with Patricia Loison and Sorya Khaldoun being on 23h.

Heavy controversy on social media is arising, as C8 is planning for August 15, the Notre-Dame holiday in France, a journée spéciale schedule focusing entirely on the Catholic religion. This programming will include a live mass broadcast from 10h30, broadcast direct from Cotignac. In the afternoon and prime-time, telefilms related to Pope John Paul II, Mother Theresa of Calcuta and Saint Phillip Neri will be broadcasts. This special programming will conclude the following night with the controversial anti-abortion film Unplanned.
There is heavy backlash on social media, as C8 is not officially entitled to broadcast religious programming under its contract with the CSA, as it is not a public service broadcaster (unlike France Télévisions, whose France 2 broadcasts Les chemins de la foi, which features Le Jour du Seigneur). Some media, like Ozap/PureMédias, are comparing the journée spéciale programming to the programming of the official French catholic channel, KTO, available exclusively on FTV satellite and all pay-TV operators. However, it might be the behest of Canal+'s majority owner Vincent Bolloré, which is a practising Catholic. Additionally, C8 has been lately focusing, with its new programming, to target the more conservative and elderly audiences, which is causing them middling ratings.

From what I can gather, it looks like it's an extension of what CNEWS have been doing to attract conservative viewers who may also traditional practising French Catholics. It's also allows the channel to have low staff levels if all they're doing is scheduling pre-records and a feed from the Vatican.
My French Grandmother would have loved KTO and the CNEWS coverage.
