The Sport Thread - Tom - 01-03-2022

Gary has just said that the football will move to BBC2 at 10pm.

The Sport Thread - bkman1990 - 01-03-2022

Gary Lineker has just confirmed Middlesborough v Spurs will switch over BBC Two just before 10pm.

The Sport Thread - RhysJR - 01-03-2022

And scorebar back in full for start of extra time

The Sport Thread - bkman1990 - 01-03-2022

The clock has disappeared for the Middlesborough v Spurs game once again.

EDIT: Ah now. It's back again.

BcastCornwall post_id=70985 time= user_id=950 Wrote:I suspect we'll be doing some channel switching if MIDTOT goes to ET. There's no way the Ten should be delayed tonight. Quite where it'll go is interesting. Newsnight shouldn't be delayed either imo. I think I'd pull Drag Race off Air for the football to go on BBC THREE.

Abandoning a new, flagship programme, hugely popular with an underserved audience, and also dropping the new drama that follows which is one of the channel's major new commissions, as opposed to simply dropping the repeat at 10pm on BBC2, is an, er, interesting suggestion.

That was as smooth a switch to BBC Two as I've seen. Well done everyone!

The Sport Thread - TIGHazard - 01-03-2022

Apparently the international feed has turned into the BBC one.

The Sport Thread - bkman1990 - 01-03-2022

It's look like the game between Middlesborough and Spurs will allow Newsnight on BBC2 to air on time at 10:30pm. Middlesborough are up 1-0 against Spurs at ET.

Gary Lineker acknowledging the mega problems with the truck today but managed to get the coverage out.

The Sport Thread - bkman1990 - 01-03-2022

There's no sound coming from the post match interview with Josh Coburn because of the technical issues.

We now wait for the Response from Team GB because the IPC said yesterday that they know that other countries could withdraw as result of this decision. I can’t see GB withdrawing but who knows.

The Sport Thread - RR - 02-03-2022

Must be some sort of record, haven't the BBC got four live soccer matches simultaneously at peak time tonight?
BBC One - Luton v Chelsea
BBC Red Button - Southampton v West Ham
BBC Three - Women's - Arsenal v Reading
BBC Alba - Scottish Challenge Cup - Kilmarnock v Raith Rovers

Nadine Dories has criticised the IPC decision. I think it’s now more than likely that GB will withdraw from the Games. I presume if that happens Channel 4 would heavily scale back coverage. I can’t see the IPC u turning as it’s clear they have had legal advice that CAS would overturn any ban anyway.

There must also now be a reasonable chance therefore the entire games gets cancelled because of mass boycott.
