The last regular Shaun the Sheep series was released on Netflix in early 2020, however some specials are not out of the question, seeing Shaun the Sheep is quite popular. BBC Genome put up 7 repeats up to the 27th of January.
I do wonder what the ratings are for ITNG - surely still in the 100'000s? I think every episode has aired more than 100 times. This is because - until September 4, 2010 - ITNG aired in CBeebies' "Discover & Do" block. This is also counting the late morning airing on BBC Two, as ITNG aired on there until December 1, 2012 - when BBC Two switched to a simulcast of the CBeebies channel for around a month, before it (the block, not the entire channel) ceased airing on January 4, 2013.
Sorry if I went off topic a bit - and I will mention I have never seen a single episode of ITNG. Though my partner is giving birth very soon - so that will probably change.

Never listened to BBC Radio 3 in my life but it's probably the last of the radio channels the BBC should close pretty much for that reason.
As for CBBC/CBeebies on BBC1/2 - if cuts means more simulcasts I'd rather see the childrens channels simulcast for periods on the main channels than even more of the news channel. They need to spin such things as a showcase of BBC services, not cheap schedule filling.

I made quite a long post about closing the radio stations etc... in the old place. I know it's not strictly under forum rules anymore but I feel it's appropriate to mention it here. I uploaded some expenditure statistics. The station doesn't actually cost that much to run, and I imagine most of the costs goes towards actually getting the rights in the first place. Interestingly enough, BBC R5LSX had slightly more reach than 5 Live (although if I did the statistics it would most likely be classed as non-significant) despite it getting 16x less direct funding - according to that source. There is common agreement that BBC Radio 3 shouldn't be shut down, despite it 12x more direct funding but 269% less reach.
All of the BBC's radio stations each provide a unique service. I think in my essay in the old place I gave the example of the Asian Network; it's the only youth desi station as far as I'm aware, all the other Asian music stations I know of just play old Bollywood hits and not much of the new music, either from the movies or by young artists here.
I'd be hard-pressed to find anything close to Radio 4 in the commercial market. It's probably also out of the question to close down the BBC World Service, and I hope this includes the foreign language sections. It's what gave the BBC, and by extension the UK, its international reputation, and still has loyal listenership around the world - my own family abroad included. "Nation shall speak peace unto nation"!
The BBC's aim is to inform, educate and entertain. All the radio stations and their programmes do this in their own different way, in a manner suitable for their audience. I am sure the television channels and their programmes do the same.

It's a very simple process, and there is no need for the BBC to over complicate matters, once free of the charter. nostalgia is great, but the reality is that the power, lights and heat and people have to be paid for. Things have to be getting big numbers for them to survive once the license fee is gone (if it goes). Groups who are willing to pay will take priority in all. They might claim this isn't the case and do somethings for smaller groups, but cash will be king and it will be nothing like what they have now. I still think the reality has not yet sunk in with many. Sooner or later, it is going to happen, and the sooner preparations are taken, the better. BBC nostalgia of what it once was will save no one. The BBC has to move into survival mode.

Except that's not correct because that was 365 episodes over a number of years and there were plenty of repeat shown in between. Also the format of Teletubbies was extremely repetitive with the same footage being used over and over.

I can't see the BBC going subscription-only because of both the piracy fears and also it would go against PSB requirements.
Reading the posts and gauging the passionate responses has reinforced my belief that the BBC has become more than just a network of stations and services. It's inveigled it's way into becoming part of our national psyche. I can't think of any other country where television stations are regarded so highly.
The licence fee is anachronistic in 2022 and the corporation's funding does need to be looked at. But I can't see the current plans being carried out.
