AJ was brilliant - was a bit underwhelmed when she was announced but she shined throughout and her live TV experience shined through and carried the show, with Mo's lack of live experience evident aswell but time would sort that out. Melvin was good on the OB too - I'm guessing that was pre-recorded though.
The show was fantastic though - a few hiccups with the pre-recorded VTs but that is part of the charm. It really did need an extra hour though, even though they seemed to pad the last 10 minutes saying goodbye to everyone, and didn't even get the pay off of a Friday Song or BB style closing credits. Glad though they did run credits - that's the whole point of the day surely.
Overall though TV has missed it and needs it back. It's put so many people in a good mood today and you can't put a price on that. Well, you can - it's £4.6m for starters.

That was very good indeed. Was it perfect? No, but then again could you ever describe the original as perfect? No, that was why I and many people loved it. The chaos, the madness and the pure happiness of it. It was a stellar job by everyone involved, we need some more of that please and I have no doubt it will be back at some point.

Agree with most posts on here. It wasn't perfect, but it was never going to be - any new team would take a bit of time to find their feet. They absolutely hit the ground running though. AJ was a revelation, and the pure anarchic, fun, positive energy was wonderful. And in no way did it feel like a relic from the 90s. It felt fresh, probably because it is - there isn't anything like it in today's TV landscape and given it's almost 20 years since the original run ended it now feels like something new again. The exact contrast to everything else on offer at that time of the morning, and exactly what Channel 4 should be providing.
It's still trending at number 2 on Twitter now, over 2 hours since it ended...

The press coverage like the social media reaction pretty much overwhelmingly positive and calling for a full time return to shake up the "stale" TV industry.

AJ was fantastic. She really steered the show through the technical problems with ease while maintaining high energy throughout. I also thought Judi was perfect for On The Bed, and Mo was suitably chaotic. Actually the entire on screen talent were great.
I'm glad there was no Friday Song as I've always found it cringeworthy, and I have long held the belief that any BB revival would need to draw on the early 90s rather than the Johnny Vaughan-centric version, if it were to have longevity.
As someone that has been a long term fan of the show, it was an absolute delight to watch. What's even more delightful is the headlines today demanding the show is brought back permanently.

Was a nod to the Friday Song with the furniture though.
The talent today on and off screen should certainly be the starting point. Not the biggest Judi Love fan personally but she got a quoteable moment out of Nile Rogers and worked well with Mo and AJ in their brief live chat. That's kind of why they needed an extra hour so they could have had a second on the bed interview.
I think the only thing the show was really missing was a big guest live in the house.

I popped down to Lock Keepers Cottages this morning. The show sounded fun and looked fun from what I saw through the gate in the front garden.
For those wondering the set up, these trucks were at the back of the house, this was taken by me after the show.

There were two other BB fans there who I spoke with during the morning and the crew were kind enough to bring Mo and Aj down to us who thanked us and posed for pictures with us and chatted with us afterwards. Mo and Aj were lovely to speak to and of course we also got to meet Phil Gayle, again spoke with us and posed for pictures. Worth just going down there for!

I put the tv on for a short while this morning and my nearly 4 year old said “it’s Justin’s House” I clarified
It wasn’t and his reply was “they are silly like Justin and his friends” he loved it and found it entertaining

Sadly all the walls inside were stripped as I walked around the garden looking in and I now own a bit of that fried egg wall paper thanks to Mr Gilligan and got a few of these one of which Mo and Aj signed themselves!
