Duke of Edinburgh: Funeral Build-Up - DamC - 15-04-2021 In France, France 2 will show the funeral from 2pm to 4pm UK time. Nothing on TF1 it seems, LCI will probably carry it, as they've been showing documentaries about the Royal Family every night this week. Quite a success for them, last night they beat BFMTV with 324k viewers (BFMTV was showing an interview of the justice minister). Duke of Edinburgh: Funeral Build-Up - iloveTV1 - 15-04-2021 1Xtra have swapped their shows around so Lady Leshurr won’t be on during the funeral. A sign that Radio 1/Xtra/Dance are going to do do something. I haven't seen anyone mention yet that this is TVLiveForum not RadioLiveForum. (There always has to be one pedant to put on the downer onto things and it is myself as usual .) However I find it extremely useful - and I can't be the only one - that radio is being mentioned as well over the obit and mourning period so it seems good this site can be BroadcastLiveForum for this!

Some radio discussion is allowed, for more in-depth discussion, there's Metropol... Oh, and it's "TV Live Forum", not "TVLiveForum"... Nearly two *hours* before the funeral begins. Way too much! TMD_24 post_id=6645 time=1618423688 user_id=1011 Wrote:The Sky EPG updated to show CNN coverage now lasting from 1pm-6pm UK time. Just not enough coverage. It does not surprise me if this is true. The Sky One coverage was marked as with Dermot Murnaghan earlier, so I'd expect it would therefore be Sky News and Sky One. However, I have a newsflash to bring you, whilst I was looking at the TV guides for the above. BBC One now showing on the Sky TV online guide as the Funeral from 12.30pm-4.20pm and then BBC News (on BBC One, everyone will like that) from 4.20-4.50pm. 12.30pm?!? I mean two and a half hours - the funeral is not due until 3pm. Snooker World Championship moving to BBC Two, supposedly four and a half hours from 1pm. Now that is too much! Other channels are starting their coverage later, Sky One isn't starting till 2.40pm so, if there is something earlier, it seems to me they'll miss it. (Or else change their schedules as it happens and break into their programmes.) Thanks for the correction. I was looking at the website address, which is tvliveforum.com which obviously can't have spaces in it. Though somehow I capitalised some of the letters within that, so I guess it was my own style creeping in. Duke of Edinburgh: Funeral Build-Up - TVNewsViewer - 15-04-2021 People who thought there was too much last Friday are going to like this (in other words not): BBC One - Breakfast from 6am (in other words more news of the Funeral), then BBC News 10-11am. Then "The Duke: In His Own Words" (can't get away from the Royal Family) 11am-noon. Then another half hour of news, then the Funeral and then news again 4.20-4.50. I bet regional/nation news for ten minutes after that - will also be people's reactions to the Funeral in your own area (or whoever else's area you switch to watch). So all day - 6am-5pm - is news or Funeral, until the FA Cup semi from 5pm. Duke of Edinburgh: Funeral Build-Up - TVNewsViewer - 15-04-2021 BBC News (other outlets are available) will now be reporting soon on the Guest List for the Funeral, which has just been released. Duke of Edinburgh: Funeral Build-Up - Ash101 - 15-04-2021 I expect the morning has been set out with BBC News & that 'In His Own Words' show to set the mood for the day. It would be difficult to go from Saturday Kitchen or the like, straight into the funeral coverage. BBC Two is other programming, plus One's coverage will be over by 5pm & the normal evening with the football & entertainment is on, so there can't be too much complaining! Duke of Edinburgh: Funeral Build-Up - Brekkie - 15-04-2021 So do we think the BBC have actually acted in response to feedback or if they were always going to be less concious about coverage around the funeral than they would be around the death - or have the FA basically dictated their scheduling by refusing to even push back the semi-final a couple of hours? |
