From a radio perspective, I think the commercial sector, in particular Global and Bauer have got the mood right. On-brand obit playlisting and regular news updates.
However, the BBC nationals going into an all stations service from Radio 4 seems wrong. The BBC got it right during Diana's death by providing separate station obit formats, such as Radio 1 playing ambient music. If anything can be learned from Operation Forth Bridge is that the BBC need to tailor their obits to target their audiences better as this will alienate especially younger listeners.

Martine put on her jacket between the news channel announcement and the bbc one announcement. Must have done it whilst speaking when they were showing pictures. I think Martine did exceptionally well today.

I presume it's being produced by Radio 4, due to the presenting team - and the fact they seemed to have the most idea of the time of the announcement.

Possibly will be incorporated under the 'BBC News Special' title. Could well be just a blanket coverage of the schedule for now though, until the timings of any documentaries/regional news can be finessed.

Yes you could tell Martine was trying not to panic at the realisation of the importance of what she was having to report! But she did handle it well.
