ITV Sport using their new football graphics for the studio section of their Premiership Rugby Coverage but using BT Sport Graphics for match coverage. So far had new graphics introducing the presenter & pundits with BT Sport graphics being used for team lineups and showing the Premiership Table.

When Channel 5 had the rights before, that was also the case for their live games, the wipes had "Premiership Rugby" but no broadcaster logo, whereas they had BT Sport branding on BT Sport.
With the 6 nations starting next weekend, I do have to ask, will ITV put 6 nations highlights into their Premiership highlights programme, as well as a separate 6 nations highlights show? Indeed, will ITV be allowed to do that?

ITV's coverage reminding me in a way of Channel 4's F1 coverage. They used BT's interviews from Tim Cocker, referncing he was there for BT Sport, and then when showing next week's fixtures, the matches that will be on BT Sport were mentioned as such. Plus the match graphics seen being BT's of course, but they are just the world feed graphics I believe.

If today is anything to go by, that is a possibility with a discussion and extracts from the Six Nations media launch at the end of the coverage. Guess they'll like to keep it seperate though.

It's very rare now that two competitions are covered in the same show - even with the BBC if they have an FA Cup and Premier League edition of MOTD on the same night even if they're with the same team they are split into two distinct programmes.
The highlights part of the new Six Nations deal has never been mentioned but the BBC does have them, with Ugo Monye, next Sunday at 6pm on BBC2. Based on the previous deal they would have them every round this year because ITV always show the last match, but I wouldn't be surprised if the new deal sees the BBC get them every round anyway considering they will only ever have one match.

The reason for that, of course, is because the Premier League and FA Cup have different iPlayer rights.

Bit like RTE Sport when covering World Cup, UEFA Champions League and sometimes take interviews and reference their colleagues from BBC/ITV/BT etc.

As you said last contract whoever had the last game, the other broadcaster would have highlights but looks likely BBC will do that, Ugo did present a couple of highlights shows last year for ITV.
As you said with BBC, even if it is Match of the Day followed by FA Cup Match of the Day it has to be separate as FA Cup is on the iplayer for 30 days and Premier League for 7 only. Even last year at one point they covered MOTD then showed an advert or sting to separate the programmes.

They showed full coverage of the German Masters this week. Apart from the final.
From what I gather, the afternoon session was relegated to the Discovery Plus app.
The evening session was shown live, trouble was that consisted of just 1 frame, due to a 9-0 whitewash.

Er, they will, including the opening match, the Calcutta Cup, in primetime on a Saturday, arguably the showpiece event of the tournament.

Usually they'd at least bump it over to Quest if Eurosport 1/2 was otherwise occupied. Live cycling though is the bread and butter of Eurosport and they obviously thought a one off one day race should take priority, along with winter sports.
I think the reality is linear is increasingly an afterthought with Eurosport and Discovery.

Eurosport did a similar mess last weekend with the tennis and skiing. On the Friday, Eurosport 2 left Naomi Osaka's defeat a few minutes before the end to go to the Kitzbuhel downhill with 15 minutes build-up, with Eurosport 1 only showing Rafael Nadal's warm--up, meaning they missed one of the headlines of the tournament. Then on the Saturday, Eurosport 2 UK (but not other versions of ES 2) kept with the tennis over the skiing, and of course missed the first ever win of an Alpine Ski World Cup event by a British skiier ?♂️?♂️.
Reviewing Eurosport's coverage at the end of the Australian Open I'd say it was satisfactory, just about. Apart from a few clashes both Eurosport 1 and 2, both channels were wall-to-wall live coverage which was is a positive. And every match was fully live on Discovery+, which was not the place everywhere else (*cough* ESPN *cough*). The ad-free streams on Discovery+ of the matches shown on the main channels is a great feature, and is good that they usually put effort into these breaks (commentators keep talking during change of ends for example) rather than leaving blank air. The coverage itself was okay - nothing spectactular and not much effort at times (all commentary from London a basic example). I saw this review of the coverage from the Telegraph last week, which I thought was a little too harsh but this line did stick out to me as perfectly accurate summary of Eurosport's coverage, "has that trademark character of having been made for multiple different markets and audiences, while not quite understanding any of them.". Alizé Lim made her debut as Eurosport's main host and she was a little green to the role, I'd say she was a downgrade on Barbara Schett but from what I understand she does live in Australia so makes sense that she didn't travel over to London and contributed from courtside instead. Amazon's and BBC and ITV's coverage of the other slams over the last year was comfortably better though I'd say.

A lot of people might only want to watch a channel just for one or two sports, and probably can’t justify gouging out £60 / year [idk if they offer it monthly] just to access eurosport player for what could just be one or two days. Quest would only benefit UK viewers anyway, the other Eurosports would have upset viewer bases as well.

Eurosport should probably consider if they would benefit from having 3 linear channels to ensure good coverage of as many sports as possible. ES1 and ES2 could become the “major sports” with ES3 being anything else that would benefit from tv coverage. But i doubt they will do it since they won’t get consecutive channel numbers on a platform like Sky [412 is already in use] and it would just discourage people from their App offering, which obviously is where they want to regain lots of money they’ve spent on sports rights.

ITV's Premiership Rugby highlights is using the same hybrid graphics style of the green football graphics for the bits with David Flatman and Topsy Ojo, and then BT graphics (and their commentary) for the match edits. The table at the end of the show used the ITV-syle graphics rather than the BT Sport graphics used in the live programme though; it also used BT's commentary from the Sale match rather than ITV's own. Interestingly it's being presented neither from a studio or from a stadium, but from a commentary office or similar. A niche note, but the sponsor bumpers for Famous Grouse reference either STV or ITV depending on what platform you're watching.
