The games are from the Challenge Cup, League One, Wheelchair Rugby League, Women's Super League and Women's Challenge Cup. https://twitter.com/TheSportsman/status/1481219907622735878?cxt=HHwWjMC4wY_qrI4pAAAA So this season Super League Sky Sports & Channel 4 (Highlights to be confirmed) Challenge Cup BBC Sport, Premier Sports & Sportsman RL Championship & Million Pound Game Premier Sports RL League One Sportsman Rugby League World Cup (Men's, Women's & Wheelchair) BBC Sport Women's Super League Sportsman Women's Challenge Cup BBC Sport & Sportsman Wheelchair Rugby League BBC Sport (?) & Sportsman The Sport Thread - RhysJR - 13-01-2022 Even with the Six Nations and the general pressure of fitting fixtures in, I don't think many would have predicted that two of ITV's four FA Cup fourth round games will end up on ITV 4 and Kidderminster v. West Ham and Notts Forest v. Leicester both end up on BBC One. ITV do get both Manchester United and Liverpool as compensation though and no match clashes with Scotland v. England in the Six Nations. https://mobile.twitter.com/EmiratesFACup/status/1481627565659852806 The Sport Thread - thebigdog2020 - 13-01-2022 Slightly surprised no Monday night game on BBC One. Also if the pick order is right it is the reverse of the last round and ITV have 1st and 4th pick this round as BBC had that last round so much have went for Liverpool or Man United over West Ham but BBC must have picked Leicester v Forest as 3rd pick overall. Also slightly Surprised to see games on ITV4 but that will be a bumper weekend of free to air sport with 6 Nations and Winter Olympics on BBC & ITV. The Sport Thread - Brekkie - 13-01-2022 Interesting as the ITV4 matches are not due to the Six Nations but ITV not wanting to pull The Masked Singer or Dancing on Ice - though arguably without the Six Nations the games would be in earlier slots on ITV. Liverpool v Cardiff probably kicking off half an hour earlier than it would otherwise due to the potential of extra time, which makes a tricky weekend of scheduling even trickier. The Sport Thread - RhysJR - 13-01-2022 Tennis Got to say I've never heard of this website before, but the ATP 250s do end up in random places and good to see this week they are free to view. If Man U could only have played on the Saturday evening, they'd have shown that on ITV and The Masked Singer would just have had to be dropped or moved. I know they're big shows but Corrie on an average Friday can get four million viewers and they were happy to move that for Swindon vs Man City last Friday. That match only got 2.2 million viewers, but it's alright if the majority of those 2.2 million were young men who barely watch any other ITV. The other thing as well is that these are going to be the highest profile matches exclusively on ITV4 since, probably, they lost the Europa League live rights in 2015 (obviously they've had matches from the tournaments since then, but always at the same time as another, bigger match on ITV), and so that's going to be a big boost for ITV4, as it will remind a million or so more people that the channel exists and that can only be beneficial for them in the long run. There's no point having additional channels if you don't put anything of value on them. And of course the equivalent matches last year will have been on BT Sport, which far fewer people can access. The Sport Thread - Hatton Cross - 13-01-2022 And when was the last time Nottingham Forest ended up having two consecutive rounds of FA Cup games live on terrestrial TV,? The Sport Thread - thebigdog2020 - 14-01-2022 Seema Jaswal has been back on BBC Snooker these last 2 nights for the highlights of the Masters appearing for the first time since the World Championships last April. I assume then Seema will be involved and hopefully Hazel Irvine back for the Worlds and Jason Mohammad might return as number 2 presenter having returned in Hazel's absence the last few years as Radzi is now with Eurosport. The Sport Thread - Juicy Joe - 14-01-2022 BBC's camera angle of the Masters snooker this year seems strange, the table appears very square with parallel sides, rather than tapering off towards the top as it would normally do with distance/depth? The issue is likely because: a) the camera producing that angle is incredibly far away from the table, significantly more so than in any other tournament. That probably limits them to only getting a very square image, especially due to the unique set up of the tournament. b) the bbc feed is in-set into graphics used on the tv screens within the arena. In 2019, there were tv screens in the corners for fans to watch more easily: these are now above the table in the rigging. On some of the distance shots, you’ll see a square box of the feed surrounded by unique scoreboard graphics [a good showing of that screen is in this photo from Jan Verhaas: https://twitter.com/janverhaas/status/1480641304900034560?s=21 ] This is only something unique to the masters, it’s not been an issue in the uk or world champs so far. Issue is obviously worse because of the max width scoreboard making it even more square tbh. The Sport Thread - Michael - 15-01-2022 Just noticed that BBC Sport Snooker are using two versions of the Welsh flag. For the brief, on-screen scorebar at the start and end of frames, they're using the older-style pudgier dragon with the flatter ears ![]() For the scorebar itself they're using the more modern standard, upright, pointy-eared dragon
