I don't watch 'reality TV' programmes as the people are shallow. I saw this trailer for ITV Hub on ITV2, and it panders to my worst sociopathic tendencies.
I have no idea who the people are supposed to be. It just makes me laugh so much.

I mean, currently having a preschooler channel on a relatively minor entertainment channel seems "strange" to me

Personally I think it’s an awful campaign that thinks it’s smarter than it actually is. I can’t really see there being much of an audience crossover between their high-end dramas and ITVBe reality shows. It does nothing to make me want to use the Hub but maybe it’s not aimed at me.
They’re nicely shot though!

I simply don't understand it - I don't think it's a good sign if you watch an advert and are left confused as to what you've just watched. I agree they are well produced, but what is it advertising? Drama, Reality, both, or The Hub in general?

The Logo is a design classic, and I think it demonstrated what ITV was in that era. it is formal, but the music package, and the triangle motif (though poorly executed in some areas) displayed the lighter side of the channel. You could never do that now with the current ITV.

This is a trailer about a free service on a TV channel. It's not asking you to buy anything. There is a fundamental difference.
I don't really want to be pedantic, but some of the Daily Mail ranters also always refer to trailers on BBC channels as 'adverts'. It's a quite annoying misconception and basic misunderstanding.

Do other regions now get an announcement with named presenters every night at 6pm?
Until recently in the Calendar region it was only the main A team who got name checked, and any other combination including the regular Friday B team just received a generic announcement
But now all kinds of different combinations have an announcement by the network announcer
