The new habit of missing the start of the first centre court match of the day is not a good one. Hope that is dropped as soon as possible.

Despite the scheduling carnage, great viewing figures last night

About 3m for the Sewing Bee aswell despite the carnage.

I guess Jack Draper on Court 1 will be the night match they focus on. They've scheduled a Deborah James tribute at 8.30 which I can't see them wanting to move.

Is that good for SB?

About 1.5m down on what it usually gets.

A rainbreak has allowed for a proper close on BBC2 and full titles on BBC1. Also noticed last night they have a short version of the titles which they used for Today at Wimbledon.

It's at the point you might as well just manually record both channels all night if you're out and don't want to miss something!

I believe they're repeating it at the weekend, in a Saturday morning slot - not seen any communication about that though.
Rolleyes I could've sworn it was 2022, not 2002. iPlayer exists, people!

And if they're tech savvy enough to use Twitter, they should be tech savvy enough to know that and use it.

RE: Wimbledon 2022 - James2001 - 30-06-2022

People don't seem to be tech savvy enough to find The One show and EastEnders when it moves to BBC2 these days...

People still have older TVs without iPlayer though.

You don't need a TV to use iPlayer.
You can use it on a phone, a computer, the belly of a Teletubby or a potato.

RE: Wimbledon 2022 - Brekkie - 30-06-2022

Although ratings data show iPlayer etc. use away from TV is a very small percentage. Last night it'll have caught out the people using series link - a perfectly acceptable way to watch TV and probably still responsible for most "catch-up" viewers, especially with shows that trend older. The worst thing was that even if you knew how to use the planner and were up to date with the scheduling you didn't have the option to record it once it moved to BBC2 unless you manually recorded it.

Seems Clare Balding is getting a shift now it's moved to BBC2. Really getting sick of the interuptions for BBC trailers though - just no excuse for it and it really is ruining coverage on what should be the ad-free BBC. Just 8 minutes into the BBC2 broadcast is an insult.

RE: Wimbledon 2022 - RhysJR - 30-06-2022

Today sess Today at Wimbledon delayed/cancelled, with the tennis moving back to BBC Two at 8:30...and Clare is doing contunity.

A slightly wild theory I've thought of, is it possible we had a Today at Wimbledon yesterday as John McEnroe was booked to appear, and McEnroe's contract is biggest for a Wimbledon pundit according to the published BBC salaries and probably has a few other intricacies (like he even does a women's semi and the final).

There probably is a minimum quota for him, probably for all of the pundits to be fair. He also works for ESPN so they have to work with them to sort his schedule out. Caroline Wozniacki also.

I was trying to think of some appropriate innuendo here but I can’t think of anything

Today at Wimbledon at 10pm for half an hour once again today. In the indoor rtaher than the balcony studio today.

RE: Wimbledon 2022 - GraemeT - 30-06-2022

I’m hearing that the ad breaks for bbc shows are actually required.

Because bbc no longer has the rights to Wimbledon, just broadcast it, these ads are filler for when the rest of coverage throws to commercials.not really BBC’s doing
