Is it taken from the Arabic channel? If so, why the lower third is written in English?

BBC World News: October 2021 onwards - Owen - 15-02-2022

Yeah, that's the Arabic lower third template, but it was shown on BBC World News when opting away from Sport Today.

The 0530 and 0630 haven’t actually been branded WBR with the blue lighting for some years now. When NBH opened these hours was sort of double headed under The World Today brand. Sally (usually) presented the 0530-0545 and 0630-0745 bits solo at the catwalk under the WBR branding then joined the news presenter and a guest for a paper review on set. This changed to “The Briefing” pre-covid with sally presenting on her own. When the pandemic rationalised output, almost everything was simply branded “BBC News” but The Briefing hasn’t returned (along with a couple of other world brands). We are now left with the 0500 presenter presenting everything under the BBC News brand even though 0530 and 0630 remain business focussed slots.

Is it actually weekly or just whenever maintenance is needed? Like the overnight is in E tonight I think, but it was in C all last week if I remember correctly.

The flipper has returned on half hour programmes with that weird transparency which would suggest its back to its primary site before the red bee incident.

It’s weekly. It stopped over Christmas and New Year. There isn’t necessarily work going on in the studio each week, but it allows for it if there is. There may also be deep cleaning going on in the gallery.

EDIT - to fix rogue formatting!

A slightly messy opt out too out of a Uk weather forecast and a news channel insert from a green key studio.

Junctions mentioning branded programmes but of course it’s not on air and branded bbc news.

It's a small point but I do wish they'd use the World titles, instead of that weird mashup as I think it would look a lot more professional.
