NBC News, MSNBC, CNBC, Affiliates and TODAY - Medianext.MX - 21-09-2021 Thank god they stuck with the normal graphics for the non-Top Story programmes. Their graphics are more in line with the current MSNBC graphics, and I don’t see why change them when you got a set of graphics that work for a streaming news network. Anyway, if you are curious about how Top Story w/ Tom Llamas looks like, here’s the first full show: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mAYb-4BdG8k NBC News, MSNBC, CNBC, Affiliates and TODAY - Sky303 - 22-09-2021 MSNBC's "Morning Joe" used 3A, you get a good view of the space more, since they show more views. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8lOhFaUlMqE NBC News, MSNBC, CNBC, Affiliates and TODAY - Mouseboy33 - 23-09-2021 With their new DC Bureau (Meet the Press), The Today/NN studio updates and now the MSNBC studio you can clearly see the new DNA of NBC News Studio design. They are clearly leaning in the history and legacy of the structures they are located in. The DNA of the art deco design is see in the design of the new MSNBC set. The red wall paper and gold repeating NBC Peacock logo is clearly taken from the architecture of the Rockefeller Center. And I like it. NBC News, MSNBC, CNBC, Affiliates and TODAY - Sky303 - 27-09-2021 José Díaz-Balart Reports on MSNBC launched today , from the Miami Studio https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RY2RdKNas1g NBC News, MSNBC, CNBC, Affiliates and TODAY - Mouseboy33 - 27-09-2021 As Newscaststudio clarified, Jose DIaz-Balart's broadcast comes from the Telemundo Center not from NBC Miami. They are located 17 miles from WTVJ NBC 6 Miami in Miramar (Dont know why NBC didnt relocate NBC 6 when they opened Telemundo Center, afterall they start co-locating NBC and Telemundo affilitates over the years. MSNBC is using the set used by Noticias Telemundo. The NBCUniversal-owned Spanish language network based in Miami. NBC recently opened Telemundo Center a few years with multiple studios for various programmes. YOu can see the Telemundo logo on a wall at the end of a "corridor" on one virtual video wall extensions. I do think it was a good idea to leverage a huge studio that is basically dark most of the day. What will be interesting to see is what Telemundo does if they are in breaking news and its time for Jose' s broadcast. They likely have newsroom position they can use or does Jose get booted to a DTL position? What will be interesting to see is what Telemundo does if they are in breaking news and its time for Jose' s broadcast. They likely have newsroom position they can use or does Jose get booted to a DTL position? Absolutely. That is a great opportunity to use the set in its full glory. So far, it is only used by Noticias Telemundo's national half hours at midday, evening and late night. They did a good job of adapting the desk they use for that particular hour into the rest of the set design, which is more European in contrast with the rest of NBC News' set designs. However, I find the desk a bit odd, specially with its deconstructed peacock shape. Fun fact: the Noticias Telemundo set has an European feel, but turns out it was also designed in Europe; the set design was created by the in-house creative team of Spanish broadcaster Atresmedia, under the direction of Juan Ramón Martín. Speaking of MSNBC, another show has moved to the new Studio 3A. This time, it is the Craig Melvin hour of MSNBC Reports which moved. https://youtu.be/T_jfA-k0H-c NBC News, MSNBC, CNBC, Affiliates and TODAY - ginnyfan - 03-10-2021 Natalie Morales is out of Today, leaving for The Talk over at CBS. Yikes..... She was wasted on Today for years, which is a shame really. I always thought she was a nice, pleasant and professional anchor. Her move to LA was supposed to be a good gig but ended up badly, with her having nothing to do there. She should have replaced Kathie Lee when she left, instead of the Bush bore. Anyway, The Talk is a mess and I' m not sure Natalie can help it. The current cast is terrible, especially after the way they treated Osborne. Natalie better watch out. https://www.adweek.com/tvnewser/report-natalie-morales-to-join-cbs-the-talk/490638/ NBC News, MSNBC, CNBC, Affiliates and TODAY - Medianext.MX - 13-10-2021 The new Studio 3A has been used for an AR segment on the Blue Origin trip which featured William Shatner: https://youtu.be/9yH57NSjqFg NBC News, MSNBC, CNBC, Affiliates and TODAY - logoffon - 22-10-2021 The rollout of "Look S" graphics for NBC O&O stations is now complete, with KNSD (San Diego) got it on October 4, and WRC (Washington, D.C.) this Tuesday. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jDBKFhq206Y https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vSmfGJ6zRYU Meanwhile, Telemundo's original station WKAQ in Puerto Rico also got "Look S" this Tuesday as well. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BA3FbJroZGM NBC News, MSNBC, CNBC, Affiliates and TODAY - Medianext.MX - 03-11-2021 Last night's MSNBC's coverage of the local elections (hosted by Maddow, Reid, Wallace and Kornacki, and featuring an extended 11th Hour with Brian Williams) used the new Studio 3A in its full potential, including the first outing of the studio's virtual extension. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
NBC News, MSNBC, CNBC, Affiliates and TODAY - mark - 04-11-2021 Ah, so that's what's through the gap. I saw glimpses of the pillars and dark space behind Steve Kornacki's screen earlier in the evening, but not the whole thing. I noticed that some of the pillars and background were visible even on the online Kornacki Cam - so if all this is virtual, it looks like all the cameras in the studio can see it. On a related note, NBC News Now's election coverage was under the Meet The Press brand, presented by Chuck Todd and Kristen Welker, with Andrea Mitchell in the studio with them. Pretty much a network-quality programme, so it shows how much effort they're putting into NBC News Now. It was due to last for two hours between 9 and 11pm ET, but it ended up staying on air for more than 3 hours. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lbsYAgu7MXo NBC News, MSNBC, CNBC, Affiliates and TODAY - TVViewer256 - 04-11-2021 mark post_id=51955 time= user_id=1102 Wrote:Ah, so that's what's through the gap. EDIT: Looking at the graphics, it may not have been. I think it was the main coverage for NBC News though (hence the network-quality production) even if it wasn't taken up by the Affiliates. NBC News, MSNBC, CNBC, Affiliates and TODAY - mark - 06-11-2021 What I really like about NBC is that their politics team comes across as having an almost geeky passion for their jobs and love being on air covering the big stories regardless of the outlet - network, MSNBC or NBC News Now. Watching some of the Meet the Press election night special, they were clearly having a great time and even talking about how the election theme music makes them feel. I don't really see this kind of devotion from any of the other networks and their equivalent services. Chuck Todd and Steve Kornacki are very enthusiastic and their shows are always a good watch. They're also in the more objective crop of presenters that NBC employs across their operations. In terms of other networks the only person | can really think of with that much evident passion is Fox News's Decision Desk coordinator (forgotten his name). |
