Good to see Angus Scott, he who presented Setanta's EPL coverage until they went defunct in 2009, making a rare TV appearance today, presenting Clermont v Ulster, in the european Champions Cup rugby union on BT Sport.

BT Sport European Rugby 11 Dec 2021.

Quite pleasant, power problems at Sandy Park Exeter tonight knocked out some of the floodlights, but not enough to cause match operational problems. It did however take out all of the electronic advertising boards on the opposing side of the pitch, remaining black for the whole game. Distraction removed.

I’m pretty sure he usually does one of the Amazon Premier League fixtures during each round.

You are correct - he did West Ham v. Brighton a few weeks ago for Prime, as well as two matches last season (and two as a reporter for BT Sport apparently). He also presented Scotland v. Japan in November for Prime, which from what I can gather was his first time presenting rugby to a British audience since the 2003 Rugby World Cup??

Channel 4 taking Sky Sports F1 feed complete with logo.

Yes indeed, classy handover by Steve Jones saying after the break we hand over to our friends and colleagues at Sky Sports F1. As per the deal agreed Channel 4 were on air from 12pm to their first advert break then Sky took over at 12.15pm. Channel 4 will be on with reaction after the race and the full C4 highlights programme (presumably with their own commentary) will still go out at 5.30pm

No Sky Sports logo on All4 but that certainly explains why the Channel 4 DOG is so far away from the edge of the picture.
Worth noting as well it's not exactly a full Channel 4 highlights show at 17:30 - the programme length was reduced by an hour to a 90 minute length earlier in the week.

EDIT: Sky Sports F1 DOG appeared on All4 after 12:50

Wow, what an exciting finish to the F1, the viewing figures for Channel 4 and Sky F1 will be interesting.

Sky Sports Breaking News strap on the coverage now.

Not the result the UK broadcasters would have wanted. But the important thing was it went down to the wire.

Haven't watched F1 in years probably since Sky became exclusive broadcaster bar the British GP and some Channel 4 shows but well done to Channel 4 & Sky for agreeing to show this on free to air and for their coverage today, wasn't overall a fantastic race but great start and finish, well done to Max.

Long term not so sure about that. Think it sets up next season better than if Hamilton had won yet again. F1 needed it.

It was also on Sky Showcase where I watched the race, it was a straight simulcast of Sky Sports F1.

The Sport Thread - Jon - 12-12-2021

I do wonder whether 4 may just end up taking Sky’s commentaries on their highlights in the future.

As it was on Channel 4 apart from the first and last 15 minutes of build up and aftermath.
