Oh yeah, no more analogue TV in England... that's surely the main thing, not the regional staff shortages. Thanks for reminding me that BBC Breakfast - Markymark - 26-07-2021 Ameritain post_id=30840 time= user_id=2051 Wrote:Markymark post_id=30839 time= user_id=1078 Wrote:Ameritain post_id=30837 time= user_id=2051 Wrote:Even if it's broadcasted on BBC 2, there's no local news for England because regional newsrooms priority is the 6.30 nightly program. Yes, the lack of being able to opt on BBC 2 started becoming a thing about 20 years ago. The 'new' sub-regions at Oxford, Jersey, and Hull were built without any (easy) facility to opt out on BBC 2. I'm not even sure Tunbridge Wells could ? The use of opting on BBC 2 in England was discouraged from about year 2000, because the Digital platforms were only wired up to do so for BBC 1 I don't think there were any regional news opts on 2 after about 2005, and the last remaining prog to do so was BBC North's Super League Show, which lasted on BBC 2 analogue almost into the last decade ? Or Scotland now, for that matter. BBC Breakfast - JasonB - 09-08-2021 This may be well the first time i’ve seen a guest in a TV studio since restrictions have relaxed. It was a refreshing change from seeing guests on Zoom. BBC Breakfast - Newsroom - 09-08-2021 Was it just BBC Wales or were there no stings at all into the regional bulletins this morning? Neither Minchin or Key threw to the regions, just straight cuts? BBC Breakfast - Ballyboy - 09-08-2021 BBC Newsline did the same BBC Breakfast - Andrew - 09-08-2021 Thats because there are no bulletins in the English Regions In England it's going like "You're watching Breakfast, the time is now 8:27 ................................... and Carol's here now with the weather, morning Carol" BBC Breakfast - Brekkie - 09-08-2021 Are they just airing the Wales/Scotland/NI buildings leading into the half hour as they did last year? BBC Breakfast - London Lite - 09-08-2021 After two weeks of Walker and Quek who gelled really well, it was a culture shock to go back to the pedestrian Louise Minchin and Jon Kay this morning with news and fluff. BBC Breakfast - Andrew - 09-08-2021 I know we are often critical of the Breakfast studio, but I thought that Olympics corner they had this morning worked well and the blue lighting looked good against the red sofa BBC Breakfast - Matthew - 10-08-2021 Dan Walkers doing Strictly, announced on Breakfast this morning BBC Breakfast - Rolling News - 10-08-2021 Matthew post_id=33457 time= user_id=938 Wrote:Dan Walkers doing Strictly, announced on Breakfast this morningTo the surprise of Louise. BBC Breakfast - itsrobert - 10-08-2021 Is there anyone left at Breakfast who HASN'T done Strictly? :o The cleaner, maybe? Louise Minchin, Charlie Stayt, Sally Nugent. I would have thought Louise Minchin would have been a safer bet for this autumn's Strictly rather than Dan Walker, given she'll have some time on her hands after leaving Breakfast soon. BBC Breakfast - denton - 13-08-2021 I wonder if Plymouth will do opts during Breakfast in the morning, given this evening's news in the city? If they can find the staff, there's no technical reason why they couldn't cover the same opt slots as the Nations. The news agenda in the region would certainly warrant it. |
