NBC News, MSNBC, CNBC, Affiliates and TODAY - ALV - 17-09-2021 As I post this, Studio 3C is still in service for the network as Early Today is still using it, despite NN has moved to 1A. Is it being renovated? I'm not so sure...
NBC News, MSNBC, CNBC, Affiliates and TODAY - mark - 17-09-2021 I'll be interested to see where special reports come from in the future, as those have previously come from 3C unless they're presented by the Today show presenters. NBC News, MSNBC, CNBC, Affiliates and TODAY - logoffon - 18-09-2021 WVIT, the network's O&O station in the Hartford-New Haven-New Britain, is now using the "Look S" graphics package since September 15, about a couple of months after most of its sister stations gets package, as well as a new set. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BqRh6cdCES4 NBC News, MSNBC, CNBC, Affiliates and TODAY - Brekkie - 18-09-2021 The trouble with these staggered rollouts is by the time they get to the last station it'll be time to start rolling out another new look at the first. NBC News, MSNBC, CNBC, Affiliates and TODAY - trance - 19-09-2021 The Saturday edition of Nightly News with José Díaz-Balart was broadcast last night. From the MSNBC announcement a few weeks ago, he seems to be still based in Miami. He wasn't in Studio 1A but the single shot with the animated background appears to be recreated. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cpTSyrZpUCs NBC News, MSNBC, CNBC, Affiliates and TODAY - Sky303 - 20-09-2021 MSNBC used 3C over the weekend https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j3Wn-_aHV9w NBC News, MSNBC, CNBC, Affiliates and TODAY - Sky303 - 20-09-2021 Studio 3A is back in use with its new look https://twitter.com/IceManNYR/status/1440047350660026382 NBC News, MSNBC, CNBC, Affiliates and TODAY - mark - 20-09-2021 The new 3A looks pretty good. It's closer to what they had before than I expected given that they gutted the whole studio, but what we can see so far is only about half the total space. The arch reminds me of the holodecks on Star Trek. NBC News, MSNBC, CNBC, Affiliates and TODAY - Mouseboy33 - 20-09-2021 More angles of the new MSNBC main studio. Not sure how I feel about the big "wooden" arch. Im sure the studio will look different depending ont he programme being broadcast. As always NBC can light the heck outta anything and make it look a million buck. The lighting design is top quality. Waiting to see other broadcasts to see how i feel about it. I do like the white shiny background. Which Im sure will be lit up blue for other broadcasts. from: Jrogo on TVTV NBC News, MSNBC, CNBC, Affiliates and TODAY - Medianext.MX - 21-09-2021 NewscastStudio has just posted a story with info about the new set. It confirms it is a Clickspring Design set, with fabrication by Mystic Scenic Studios, lighting done in-house and displays provided by Planar. It also says the parts showcased during Deadline White House is just a part of the set, with more to come. The full story is available here. NBC News, MSNBC, CNBC, Affiliates and TODAY - Sky303 - 21-09-2021 NBC News Now's "Top Story" launched today, using the NBC 4th floor studio. The programme which runs a 7pm ET( after NBC Nightly News) runs at the same time as "The News with Shepard Smith" on CNBC . The running order is different between the two , probably incase they need a live reporter for a story they can both do the story with the live reporter. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

The overall look of the newscast looks very Nightly News in style, and I like the fact they are now using the NBC Level 4 studio in a way it looks less like a flashcam studio (they tend to use it like that over at MSNBC). I also hope these are not the new graphics for NBC News Now, as they look really tacky, compared to the look they used since launch. NBC News, MSNBC, CNBC, Affiliates and TODAY - mark - 21-09-2021 Lots to talk about on the NBC News front today! I really like the new 3A, although it feels quite a bit smaller than the old one as they've partitioned the space about halfway down. In the NewscastStudio article, there's one shot that seems to show that the red well in front of the desk can slide away, with what looks like a green chromakey/VR area behind it. The only thing I'm not sure about is the red and gold wallpaper on the left-hand wall. Or is it a gold lattice in front of a red wall? Over on NBC News Now, the set for Top Story looks good - definitely the most effort that's gone into anything I've seen on NBC News Now, CBSN or ABC News Live. I'm not a fan of the straps though - they remind me of Sky News in the early 00s. I share Medianext.MX's hope that these won't be used on the rest of the channel's output - I guess we'll find out in a few hours... NBC News, MSNBC, CNBC, Affiliates and TODAY - mark - 21-09-2021 No changes to the graphics on Morning News Now, which is good news. Although it means that Top Story has a different DOG from the rest of the output. |
