This is looking more and more like the kick up the backside that was sorely needed.
Like the animation behind the BBC One logo. Reminds me of [mention]mdta[/mention]'s mocks over the years.
The design decisions are logical and progressive. Look forward to seeing it fully realised on screen.

Seeing this video has helped to really solidify this logo for me. Sure, it's nothing special on its own and arguably a downgrade but the animations and the way it's integrated into every product is a big part of its appeal.
The One and Two animations look excellent and Four in purple is a dream. Also that one billboard with the big floating blocks is giving me serious early 2000s nostalgia from when the BBC did those kinds of billboards with the big logo at the side.
The only thing that I don't love is that the radio logos look to be more plain. I do prefer the more individualized icons but I get that they wanted a clean sweep of the branding.

I love the simplicity that the 3 blocks or elements are always part of the branding to allow flexibility in the designs. Not everything needs BBC in front of it or at the top of an app. In this day and age you need flexibility with design assets to make creative work for programming, apps, advertising etc. - good work so far!
Re BBC One, after all those years of lowercase BBC one it looks odd to see BBC ONE in uppercase but alignment with the other channels is a good thing.
Also I find it really refreshing that BBC One will not be bright red! - I love the pinky/red/magenta colour chosen.

I like to think of the new colour as a mauve-y red.

New BBC Logo - Robert Williams - 05-10-2021
Overall, it all looks good, Much like in 1997, when I also had reservations about the new logo, it's only once you see it in context does it all start to make sense. The treatment of the new logo is in direct contrast to 1997, when the guidelines dictated that the logo should always treated as a single unit, not be messed about with, or the boxes treated as separate elements.
The BBC logo being at the top of the screen in the idents I think will take some getting used to. BBC Three was not shown in the video, but I'm guessing will have to fall into line with a Reith-ed logo by the time it returns to television, as I can't see a custom design, as it's always had in the past, fitting into this format.

I would like to see how the implementation of new BBC logo and branding to kids channels, particularly Cbeebies, considering that the channel still using same logo since its launch in 2002 without any modification.

And a brighter colour for Four for once. Purple looks good on them. Contrasts them from BBC Three's magenta (if they're keeping that colour).
