Yep, certainly more than a passing mention.

Also as you’d expect but was by no means a given, the new graphics are being used on the wraparound coverage.

I wonder if these will be rolled out to other sports, particularly things like darts and snooker.

Champions of Champions Snooker to come next week on ITV4 and Players Championship at the end of the month so will find out soon enough, would be good to have a graphics rebrand for Darts and Snooker on ITV4 as the 2006 ITV Sport graphics are still in use.

Nice to hear Barry Davies on TV, albeit in sad circumstances voicing over Gerald Sinstadt's obituary on Football Focus.

So a classic match between Ireland and New Zealand today in what might be the All Blacks only free to air appearance between the two rugby world cups. Graphics wise see C4 have worked the Autumn Nations colour scheme into their graphic package and it doesn't look very nice there either.

Three weeks in and the generic graphics aren't growing on me either - there is just something a bit off about them.

One bit of business is that the BBC will have the Barbarians fixture against Samoa on the 27th November, with Lee McKenzie hosting that too. Presumably that fixture usually just takes the graphics of the host broadcaster - if it takes the generic ones I suspect it may use last years, as continue to be used on the womens fixtures.

It's nice to see Dave McIntyre who is one of VM Ireland's soccer commentators doing some other work for a change that involves the GAA.

AZPV Rugby Streaming having specific platform streaming issues today with their Rugby matches, interesting seeing developments surrounding this when a leading tech journalist joins in the discussion on Twitter. Intervention from the very top of AZPV resulted and joined the discussion and the problem was resolved some 25 mins into the first half of ENG-AUS.

It was so nice having a match on C4 today and not having to worry about the potential streaming issues. That said myself I just had a brief buffering pause in the Scotland game, whilst in the England game I did have Amazon Prime crash completely but as it was at half time it wasn't too much of an issue.

Premier League - Hearing that the 'all matches televised' scenario is being revisited and revised at present. it seems that the League and Broadcasters are preparing for all eventualities over the rest of the season.

While ITV Sport have changed their graphics for England & FA Cup the 2006 graphics package lives on for the Champions of Champions Snooker today on ITV4.

Not too surprising considering football almost always takes the lead on these changes and other sports often follow months later. That said do we even know these are new "generic" graphics considering football has had a couple of sets over the last 15 years which could have been rolled out to other sports but ultimately were not.

How long have ITV used the current titles and theme music for their coverage of England football?

I asked that same question just a couple of days ago.

In use from 2008 when ITV and Setanta won the rights from BBC and Sky for FA Cup and England Internationals, only some small changes at the end when flying into Wembley with change of managers and players.

UEFA's graphics have a problem recording England's tally tonight.

Notable that with increased C19 in the Netherlands that tonight's NED-NOR WCQ match is behind closed doors.
