I'm gonna say April could be likely. Whenever News rebrands really. Althought I'm gonna say that new CBBC idents could launch along side it? (the current set has lasted almost 6 years, although it is MUCH superior to the 2014 - 2016 set)
Anyways, farewell to these wonderful Christmas idents. Loved them.

They have been a lovely set of idents, both the ones featuring the characters and the tree alone. There was a lovely sign off then by Duncan into the New Year, making reference to 2022 being the corporation’s centenary.

I curious to see how the Beeb going ahead in 2022 given that they will celebrating 100th anniversary. We will see anything brand new on the BBC for its special year, including return of BBC3, new idents for BBC1, new look for BBC News and Radio, big festivals, and so on.

Still baffles me they end the idents on New Years Eve when they're still airing key highlights of their Christmas schedule on New Years Day, but agree they have been the best set in a long time. Just something nice to look at - sometimes it's forgotten by those that make them that first and foremost that is basically what you need an ident to be.
