Andrew Marr to leave the BBC - Stuart - 19-12-2021 Brekkie post_id=59222 time= user_id=976 Wrote:A time limit of six months should be more than sufficient to find a permanent presenter. I'd expect Sophie to only be hosting for weeks, rather than months - and if she is still in the chair by after Easter they might as well give it to her permanently anyway.Nobody knows how the political environment will pan out, so she may well be in place for longer. She is a good presenter and very capable of the gig full time.
Andrew Marr to leave the BBC - buster - 19-12-2021 Nice touch to end on a star on the tree with the Vespa that featured in the original titles on it.. Can they not call it "Sunday AM"? Andrew Marr to leave the BBC - Johnr - 19-12-2021 Talking of Sunday Morning Live...Adrian Chiles back on 'that' sofa was an unexpected surprise!

I don’t quite understand why they don’t just use the current One Show set for ease? Especially given they don’t need to worry about the big ‘one’ lettering in the backdrop anymore. Still… nice to see Adrian Chiles back on the One Show sofa, albeit on a Sunday Morning. He’s been a guest since his return to the BBC so it’s not all too jarring to see him there thankfully. The original titles featured an open-topped car, which was later replaced by the Vespa (in the same turquoise type colour) in the 2nd title sequence. The 3rd/final title sequence reduced the "turquoise thing" to being a smartphone that he is briefly seen using. Just the sameI don't imagine there would be much investment for a 'temporary programme'. It's probably easier just to keep the theme music and alter the titles. If they change the predominant colour to red, they can remove the 'crinkly covers' from the sofa. We'll find out next month, then I may offer to 'eat my hat'.
Andrew Marr to leave the BBC - RhysJR - 19-12-2021 Andrew Marr to leave the BBC - Aaron.TV - 19-12-2021 Would it not have made sense to temporarily call the slot Politics Live, rather than the particularly bland ‘Sunday Morning’? The name they’ve gone for sounds more like a lifestyle/cookery slot, certainly not a politics focused slot. Calling it Politics Live would also be good exposure for the brand. I also find it strange that the BBC don’t seem to line up proper replacements in good time anymore - does a formal process of appointing a replacement presenter now have to start after the current role holder has left or something similar? In my industry it's almost impossible to replace someone the day they leave even with three month notice period because everyone else is on three months. Andrew Marr to leave the BBC - Scrotnig - 20-12-2021 They should just give Sophie Raworth the permanent job. More than capable. I’d argue a perfect fit. I can only assume she doesn’t actually want it permanently, otherwise I can’t see the point in such a charade. Andrew Marr to leave the BBC - Brekkie - 20-12-2021 Given the seeming reluctance nowadays to give someone a high profile job purely off the faith of those making the decisions wouldn't be surprised if a few guest hosts are trialled too. Andrew Marr to leave the BBC - TMD_24 - 25-12-2021 Based on the programme image it doesn't seem like there will be too many presentation changes. https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m0013ckj |
