It's being rolled out as planned (apart from the newly filmed videos for ONE idents). Take my word for it or anyone else's who has been providing information over the last few weeks.

If the decision to keep the old idents wasn't made until last week, maybe they just didn't have time to re-version and send out updated idents to the regions?
They probably had enough work to do making the new network and nations ones in a few days without having to create 15 or 30 (assuming each gets more than one) more variations

Anyone remember when Sky changed their logo to be rounder and channels like Sky1 (the main channel) and Sky Arts still had the 2000 logo?
This feels somewhat similar.

I really don’t like how small “ONE” is compared to BBC in the idents. It really does look awkward - and I don’t know if it’s just me or an illusion, but the BBC logo isn’t the same distance away from the top as the ONE wordmark to the bottom. It looks poorly aligned and while that’s a little petty it’s excruciating to see something so simple look off, especially as a designer. It just seems slapped together, which it probably was.

Makes me wonder if there's no regional variants of the new branding for Oneness.
So given it seems the other regions played a Reith-branded ident, I'm guessing it was either a mistake on NE&C's part, or someone didn't get the memo.

I do love the new menus too at the credits - something i’ve found though is as much as i want it to work, Using the BBC + [Channel Name or App] system as a frame means my eyes miss when it transitions from ONE to SOUNDS because the colours are so similar and my eyes are drawn to the top just because of how it’s been laid out and with a picture above it. I’m also finding it a little confusing when they transition from one channel to another during trailers - again might just be me and I love the animation but there’s a moment of “wait - which channel am I watching?”

Somewhat interestingly, "Night Kayakers" has made its comeback, which would be usual, what is slightly unusual is that only the regions seem to have used it today, it hasn't been on England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales so far today.

Maybe a hasty comeback because its dark to help the white BBC and ONE logos stand out, the other idents have been quite bright and they fade into the background a bit in them?

I know the replacements to the "Oneness" style idents have been delayed, but I'm not impressed with the BBC logo being placed away from the ONE. It looks too detached as to identify the channel.
Also the nations identifiers are far too small, and are almost unreadable , they might as well not be there at all.
Lets hope there is some improvement over the coming months. :?

I'm going to inject some positivity into this thread (I'm sure it won't last...!).
The flow between programmes on BBC One is really nice, you can see how well it's been designed. It'll take time for everything to change, and I have no problem with that, but you can clearly see where we're heading with the BBC blocks at the top of every screen - mobile, online, television - all animating in the same way and flowing into the next item.

Maybe they will grow on me over time, but my initial BBC ONE thoughts after seeing them on screen is that the ONE seems quite lost so far away from the BBC. I know the reasoning behind it but I'm not really a fan. Maybe it will work together better on the new idents.

I also think it is slightly unusual for the BBC to deem the Nations (and soon the North) to be so important they should have their own BBC ONE continuity all day every day, but then make the nation name text so small it barely stands out to viewers.

As others have commented, I'm surprised (Unlike in 1997) that this is being done piecemeal rather than a total rebrand.
To be honest I don't mind them doing it this way, I wonder how many casual viewers would actually notice that the logo has changed
