The half-hour show (along with an accompanying weekly podcast) will be produced by ITV & Channel 4 News and air on Sunday nights when it launches in May.
Assuming the reference in the linked Guardian article to Sunday Politics being a 10-part series refers to the number of episodes in its initial run before the House of Commons' Summer recess.
I'm guessing C4 will schedule it after Channel 4 News in an hour block of news and current affairs?

Was just Sunday Politics, don't think his name appeared in any branding, but yeah pretty similar
The people in charge of naming current affairs shows need to be a little bit more creative. I thought Sunday Morning was the bottom of the barrel, but this isn't just a bland name, it's a second-hand bland name. Sure Neil's famous for grilling rather than roasting, but Andrew Neil's Sunday Roast is already better and it took me about 5 seconds to come up with.
Sunday Politics is a working title according that article, I’d be surprised if Channel 4 didn’t come up with something a bit more creative.

This is C4 not GB News. I'd rather be bland than tacky tbh especially as it's supposed to be a serious show and not a culture war/talking head format.
Wouldn't surprise me if it ends up being Sunday Politics purely for the fact that Andrew's catchphrase in closing the show was "If it's Sunday, it's Sunday Politics." Plus might be seen as one in the eye for the BBC after axing the programme.

There are a finite number of combinations of "Sunday", "politics" and "Andrew Neil", most of which have already been used.

I agree, I was wrong. It is impossible for a serious programme to have any element that is in any way light-hearted or frivolous. That's why the titles of the BBC's main sunday morning politics programme didn't, for years, parody a 1960s science fiction programme and On the Record was a programme about a gothic crocodilian gargoyle that terrorised European capital cities.
Given their current success on Sunday evenings how about "The Great Political Throwdown".

I think this was Andrew's last one on the BBC, with him announcing he was off during the summer but his sign off here seems to suggest he had already made his mind up before then!

I think Politics Northern Ireland would have been fine but I imagine someone in Belfast thought the brand was good and that they would stick to it. Either that or they didn’t want to have to change the set.
