Not sure we need a show with a couple of political advisors giving comment on stories not necessarily in their field but from a presentation point of view a sneak peak perhaps at the new look BBC News with the titles clearly based around three squares morphing into variously shaped rectangles. Looks more like a spinning football pitch than anything news related though.

It looked a bit boring to be honest it’s too similar to the bbc news theme tune, when the news channel is involved, it’s almost like they bbc world news have to reign it in.

I wonder if they will be returning to predominately blue colours after so many years red?

Why does it even need an inset graphic why not use the screen behind, and why does it need to use the skyline when it got dropped elsewhere.

I like the skyline, it’s a whole lot better than the newsroom backdrop currently being used. The graphics seem to be the way BBC news is moving at the moment as seen on the relaunched Newsday.

I like the skyline but there’s no context to why there they are using it, I think they could have been clever made the entire backdrop with the blue and the random symbols and use the inset graphic animating on the screen.

It's like they stole the ITV News colour scheme. The red BBC News logo and graphics clash horribly with it.

I really hoped they would relit the studio in this lovely shade of blue. Such a letdown

Context is essentially Beyond 100 Days retooled and without Katty Kay isn't it? Not complaining by the way as I'm a huge fan of Christian Fraser

I quite like the music. The titles aren't too bad either. But what is going on with the first frame of that video? At first I thought, what a nice use of the bbc cubes. But then I noticed the odd placements, with different gaps and the middle one being higher. Does this video start after the beginning of the animation?

I think there's a second 'hold' animation as it were that's been clipped from the beginning.

Speculating, is it possible that the programme might eventually move to studio B once it's been refitted, and Covid restrictions make it easier to have guests in the studio?

I doubt that's likely as the BBC News at Ten will be coming from there and it'll need rehearsal time.

It would suit studio E mind you, but as I think that hour is produced by the BBC World News team, I suspect it'll remain in C.
