Makes sense, for the apparently temporary nature of the initial post-Marr era.

Maybe there'll be little or no changes beyond the host and the name? Same studio/set, theme tune, programme format etc (e.g. newspaper reviews, arts feature, etc).

Clearly, the Marr-centric title sequence has to go. Whether it will be replaced by something featuring similar staged shots of Rayworth, or something more generic, we shall see.

Wouldn't surprise me if they go for the total cop-out of just having short sting "titles" à la Breakfast, consisting of e.g. just the orange stripy logo animation book-ending the "coming up" rundown.
TBH Sunday Morning is the TV equivalent of TfL Rail, a temporary brand that will replaced in a few months time.

Hopefully in a shorter period than TfL Rail has existed lol

BBC News is going to get a brand refresh/rebrand in the Spring, so that may be the right time for it to take place
That was embarrassing, the closing titles used were still the Marr ones
Looks like nobody remembered to change the endboard on the credits of the ‘new’ Sunday Morning, using the old Marr graphics instead.

Perhaps if someone had decided to change the copyright date, then they would have noticed the other major error with the end card.

I’m wondering if the opening titles reused some footage from a few of the regional politics programme titles? The style of the variable speed, time-lapse drone footage was very similar.

Edit: To answer my own question, I was right. At least the shot of the Angel Of The North was borrowed from Politics North (NE&C):

No logo yet. I assume they forgot to add new BBC logo or Sunday Morning title on end credits.
They've kept Debbie Wiseman's music - which I don't think has been rerecorded (though it has been edited) since it was first used in 2005. Must make it one of the longest running unchanged theme tunes going.
How temporary will Sunday morning be on for?.

The numerals still say 2021 - not 2022

I’ve never been a fan of the theme. The screechy ‘strangled cat’ saxophone does nothing to help at those times on a Sunday morning when your head’s a bit delicate.

I suspect longer than we think.
