I'm not too sure if Katty is still with Ozy, because after checking her Twitter to see if there was any reference to the media coverage it would appear she has removed the company from her bio, now only mentioning MSNBC. There are a few tweets I see mentioning her, I think because of her appearances in U.S. and UK/international media - she seems to have been one of their most high profile journalists.

Oh I do hope she'll be back at The BBC. If not, I really can't see it being a problem with another decent broadcaster picking her up!
To be honest, I have a hard time believing she left the BBC for Ozy voluntarily. There may have been some contract negotiations that had gone awry.
i do hope that Katty comes back! I love Laura Trevelyan though aswell, but Katty Kay is better with the BBC!
To be honest I wouldn't be surprised if there is more money to be made as a political commentator without the shackles of BBC impartiality than there is being a newsreader on World News America, which I suspect (but don't know) pays relatively less than others in the US cable news market.
If she did return to newsreading though I think she'd be a good fit on the PBS Newshour, and a familar face to many PBS viewers I suspect.

Good grief. I'm just reading this story now on the BBC News app. To say that I'm stunned is a understatement. I don't know what to make of this story right now. I was reading here that the podcast that was made by Ozy is jointly produced by the BBC. I didn't know this at all. I do know that BBC News has a formal news sharing partnership linked up with CBS News in the U.S. for the past number of years. I just want to ask here what type of formal role the BBC had in creating the podcast for Ozy Media? Another question that may to be asked here is does the BBC have a major stake or executive personnel of theirs involved with the structure of Ozy's company?
I am not sure what to make of this story because to potentially have the BBC involved in this major investigation with the federal authorities in the U.S. may become very unnerving for the BBC to deal with at this point. I would assume that the BBC now has to fight another major scandal on it's hands this year while they were hit with derision after the full publication of the Dyson Report earlier this year. Although with all of this being said right now; Ozy media was only a start-up news operation recently created in the U.S. I don't really know how far this U.S. federal investigation will go on to affect the credibility of the BBC with it's involvement in the future. We have been hearing dialogue being spoken about of the credibility of the BBC in the media. A vocal minority who are mainly based online & hate the BBC in general may use it as another stick to beat them with as the BBC is potentially involved in this federal investigation in the U.S.

When Katty met Carlos (or Carlos met Katty?) was a co-production and broadcast on BBC World Service as well as being a podcast. There is no implication whatsoever of any kind of BBC involvement in the Ozy scandal. I can’t imagine it concerns them at all, and certainly not their wider credibility.

Not only them, but American media outlets (public or private) need to worry as well.
