No evidence any branded programmes have appeared yet. Just that awful newsroom background in every bulletin.

Astonished anyone at the BBC could think this background is an improvement.

It was OK for the one off of the local elections, but permanent use is just ridiculous. Not just is it too dark, but it isn't even a particularly good composition. The newsroom hoop is at completely the wrong angle for the general perspective of the shot and there are multiple issues with the photoshopped back wall - the grey section between the floors is too high and out of line with the rest of the newsroom, the gallery wall is clearly the same section repeated twice and the BBC News globe animations are way too bright compared to the other shots on the screens (which appear to include what looks like the Sport Today logo from about 10 years ago).

And yes, most viewers won't notice, but it's just a sloppy effort and not at all an improvement. Given this change has been in the works for at least several weeks, if not months, you'd've expected them to come up with a more polished final product. It seems that taking retrograde steps seems to be the general approach in BBC design at the minute.
Wow they launched Impact but not live with Lucy Hockings also with that dreadful backdrop, you couldn’t make it up :o
Impact is back, but with the same nighttime newsroom background. I always prefer newsroom backdrop, but real one, not fake bad ones.

Bring back London skyline!!!!

Very bizarre especially having seen the Live with Lucy Hockings promos.
I don't understand why they haven't spent the overnights recording the newsroom shot from E. With so much simulcasting surely that would bring uniform the the output of `BBC World News'. Surely can't be that difficult to relight a fixed studio surely? I think I recall reading on TVF the branded programmes that came from C were lit at the touch of a button?
They have added the programme logos into the screens on the newsroom backdrop which means that probably is the background they’re sticking with. It’s a real shame because the sky line is a lot better than this newsroom one. It doesn’t even make sense having it with blue lights, surely they could’ve at least made a version without them especially if they were planning on using it through the day and also on Sunday mornings. It is now seen more during the day than it is at night with it only being used for the papers.
Underwhelming... I really don't mind them using the old Impact background they've been using whenever they decamp to Studio C... Why ruin it with a newsroom background  The newsroom background just ruins all sort of color schemes, no matter how sharp or bright or beautiful your show's studio lightning/visuals are, that newsroom background instantly "darkens" and underwhelms it...

Antother thing is, this newsroom seems to be completelly empty. At least the old, gray washed out one, had actual people sitting, walking working, making it look more real.

So they've added the fake balcony glass for World News, despite the fact the image was clearly taken just below the mezzanine level. The person who designed this backdrop seems to have a similar understanding of perspective to a mediaeval painter!
This is a joke absolute joke this dosent make sense at all I am absolutely gutted Sad
