I noticed Aisling was doing the London regional weather today. As Aisling often appears on UTV weather during the week, why could she not record for UTV at weekends?
Have BBC Newsline scrapped the green screen they use for weather permanently?.

It's the first time I've seen him back on UTV, since he resigned from GB News.
I'm surprised he's gone back to the job he left! How awkward when you've had a send off with cards, gifts, alcohol and a new tie....then only week's later come back to the office you left (possible wearing that new tie too).

He's lucky they had him back, though possible he is just freelancing I guess - will become evident if he's back with them permanently I'm sure.
I'd say though four months is certainly within the time frame where you'd be justified asking for your money back from his leaving collection.

Raymond Abernethy, long-serving BSL interpreter for BBC NI and UTV before that, made his final appearance on Newsline this lunchtime.
Footage of Raymond appearing on an edition of 'See Hear', on the Inside Ulster set and in the newsroom, was used; as well as a clip of him, alongside Lynda Bryans, signing a 1855 bulletin taken from The TV Room's Rewind site.
Lovely to see Donna Traynor using BSL in her sign-off to wish Raymond good luck in his retirement.

Seems great that BBC News NI does this, does anywhere else?
I know there is signing provided on the BBC NC during network bulletins but can't think of it being provided elsewhere? Quite poor if it's only being provided by one part of the BBC's local news teams - would imagine there isn't many other places deaf or hard of hearing people could go to get local news?

He’s certainly been there a long time. Are there any other signers, or does he every lunchtime? I seem to remember there were a few that did it on a rotation. Mary McKernon rings a bell.

BBC Wales has a summary of the week's headlines with a BSL interpreter at the end of the lunchtime bulletin just before the weather on Friday. Similar in style and length to a breakfast bulletin.
